what i learned from arrow, vikings and peaky blinders (of course vikings and pb are far better) but you learn that if you are very ambitious and stubborn to achieve what you want, if it is related to power, is you are going to leave collateral damage on your loved ones and finally on yourself. Ragnar, Thomas and Oliver are very different genres of protagonists but they all have the same arc. to start from dirt and rise up in the world, you may put people you love in danger and your inhumanity will consume you, and like all 3, they obviously have PTSD and depression.sadly, that's the way. the world turns.
