EXCELENTE!!! me encata la música armenia!!! es muy enégirca, muy divertida!!! tiene muchas particularidades con otras de esa región, me gustó mucho este video. Sheikarab.
How cute! I love the costumes, and the choreography is so much fun! Some of the movement reminds me of Irish step, which I used to do when I was younger. :D
First off, what's the the song that the girls are dancing to? To all the people who are debating whether or not this is a turkish or armenian dance, let me make one thing clear. Over the years, cultures are exposed to others and eventually aspects of other cultures are integrated into their own. it's the same thing with every other culture. It's not stealing and it's not wrong, it's natural. Have enough respect for people who post their videos on this site to keep it off their page.
Your comment say that you don't understand the language of the body and dance, You can't even different movement which complitly describe the feelings of heart and soul.
"This may be Turk or Armenian song and dance, but the actual dancers themselves are American." "OMG, I think some posters here missed the point completely" :))))
Oh my god! What are you saying? Who wants Armenia? The kurds? You are not serious. Kurds and Armenian are the most old people in these lands. There enough places for eeryone. And i never said that this was kurdish music, i just said that sound like it. And i think it's quite logical because of the proximity and influences of people to each others for thousand years.
To all those that think there is slightest similarity in Armenian music/dance with turkish....please type in "the turkish courtship ritual" on TH-cam search and please refrain from ever making idiotic comparisons. Thank you in advance.
silly cat is correct..turkish dance is very similar and goes back many, many years..they didnt "pick it up". It is more of a subculture now and dancers are not well respected. As for the "em twirling in circles" they whirling dervish is more a ritual than dance.
Like I said...a subculture=act of lesser people. Same thing. Not mainstream. Not widely accepted. There is a long history of Turkish dance..you may know about culture but you may NOT know about dance. I am Armenian and even I can acknowledge there is much history in Turkish dance as it is very similar and in many instances the SAME as traditional Armenian dance.
mscgino, I suppose georgian music and dance is ok...but it doesn't impress me hell of a lot. All our neighbors have been influenced by our culture but a copy is never the same as the genuine material.
cheerleaderoncocaine.. inform you better. This is not the kind how the turks dance and sing. So how should they stole your armenian pride?? Wishes, gilad
