    This is why Kyokushin is awesome, 99% of people dont know how to defend against kicks and will just take it, and the fight will be over, unless they want to keep going like one legged a kangaroo.
    Kyokushin is a no BS martial art, very effective and to the point, also makes you body stronger, not like most other martial arts

    Good useful instruction despite the echo problem.
    I've been away for a few years and have only recently become aware of the splits within Kyokushin so it's nice to see Kyokushin and Shinkyokushin training together. OSU!

    Kyokushin was designed to rival Muay Thai hence the Low Kicks and more Squared Stance.

    I noticed that the guy taking the kicks go little bit forward/down when he gonna take the kicks. Does that help to handle it better? (I do shotokan, we are not the best ones in that subject :v).

      Yes. It is one of several ways to reduce the damage of low kicks.

      It helps to tense your muscle in orden to receive the kick

    In the street, they go for the knee. Is it better to dodge the kick or the check it with the shin?

    I can't imagine throwing Inside Low Kicks like that and not catching groin shots
    also inquiry, you are throwing the Outside Low Kick very high like just below the Hip is there a reason for that? I always target the area just above the Knee. or the Calf!

    • @victortorres7851
      @victortorres7851 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      the inside leg kick is thrown at an angle. like a 45 degree angle front kick or football punt. It does very high damage when timed properly. also doubles to unbalance the opponent. The distance is usually much closer in Kyokushin this turning the majority of the fights to inside battles so they seperate the leg muscle into sections and throw kicks at different angles/levels to wear down the opponent. kind of like a boxer throwing body shots in the early rounds to slow down his fighter later.

    • @bigmember5908
      @bigmember5908 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm still not sure how they do that without getting groin shots from time to time tho

    • @victortorres7851
      @victortorres7851 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@bigmember5908 well I did not mean to imply that one would not get kicked in the groin. It obviously occurs often within martial arts that involve low kicks. What I meant was that because of the angle and targeting skill of the practitioner it doesn't occur as often as one would think.

    • @bigmember5908
      @bigmember5908 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      that makes more sense, for myself if I go Inside I am almost always targeting the Calf so I don't have to worry about a stray shot

    • @Horus-Lupercal
      @Horus-Lupercal 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      They probably do occasionally, but they're often very accurate once they get to the black belt level. After all, a lot of boxers practice to hit the liver, and they can be very successful in doing so. Why not the same for kicks? Plus, they often allow groin cups.
