This is actually genius! Although I'd recommend trying this with 2 small lapel microphones that are far apart to prevent the sounds from the left mic going into the right mic, etc.
Once the feather pick was in deep it was marvelous. Personally, the other scraping sounds don't appeal to me since that are harsher and not as soft. But I can see that there could be an appeal for that.
