The show is pretty cringey in the beginning but as it goes on... well it stays cringey but it also becomes much more self aware and learns how to keep the same humor and just lean into it and deliver it better instead of outright changing it

I feel like these guys don’t understand how a lot of ‘stupid’ moments are meant to be stupid. The characters are aware of what they are doing, it’s self-pitying.
There is NOTHING wrong with identifying voice actors in live action. Tara Strong and Dee Bradley Baker are veterans and legends.

I remember loving this boy band. This was the only boy band I actually liked. I remember most of their songs and Kendall was my favorite band member and favorite character of the show.

literally screamed when i saw this in my recommended bc big time rush is an incredibly nostalgic show for me and as silly and nonsensical as it is it holds a very special place in my heart and each reaction was equally hilarious
I'm glad they're reuniting but I feel like it wouldn't be complete without a reunion movie. Which would make sense because of how meta the show was.

This boy band was my childhood right here. I was 10 when the show first aired and I still listen to BTR today. I also remember actually tearing up at their Worldwide acoustic cover during the pandemic.
I don’t care how cringey the show is, it’s still one of my favourites and makes banger songs and formed the best boy band ever

You can NOT underestimate Big Time Rush. At least in it's time it was HUGE, due to the band being both relatable to guys and appealing to girls. The hugest fan I knew was a guy classmate, he learned their choreography, listened to all their albums. Even if it wasn't actually really successful, he made me believe it was the biggest band in the world.
I know all their albums and songs by heart, even their unreleased music and now they’re back making more music. Big time rush holds a special place in a lot of fans hearts
Also the reason why this feels like FOP is because Scott Fellows (the creator) worked on FOP with Butch Hartman.
Scott also made Ned's declassified and Johnny Test

Being an adult and looking at the Big Time Rush show now makes me realize BTR is just industry plants and Gustavo made the boys signed to a 360 deal cuz we never see none of them profit from there songs or merchandise throughout the show.

There's an episode in season 4 where it shows they get pocket money but their actual shares are locked behind a bank account they can't access until they are 21 because they are dumb and would spend it all one day lol
I think they are paid quite a lot even if you don't see them get handed the money over. Just living in Palm Woods is quite expensive and you do see them buy loads of stuff and host parties that wouldn't be possible from a normal teenager.
I've always assumed that it's their manager Kelly handling their finances or it was all handed over to Kendall's mom being their legal guardian.
there was an episode where they were paid like a couple thousands just to see if they could be responsible with money. and they blew it all away. james spend it on a snake, logan just give away money randomly aka "tipping" and carlos got himself a personal butler that charges 100/hr or something along those lines. so yeah, they are still paid but just managed by the company most likely. of cos it happens irl too and now they are all earning big bucks from this, logan's net worth is 10 million rn
Big Time Rush was my first concert. It was big back in the day and their reunion tour has a lot of hype. Never quite hit mainstream One Direction level, but still successful.
I remember One Direction opening for BTR. Carlos even recently admit that the 1D hype when they opened for BTR really made the BTR members jealous and that's really sad

This show was something else. I enjoyed it for the boy band. But the acting was so goofy lol. There was an interesting ep where Kendall and his girlfriend were trying to spend time with each other around their busy work schedules. That was the most realistic thing.

I just bought the first season yesterday. It first came on when i was 12 and im 26 now and it still makes me laugh. It just relies on being funny and its clean, family friendly fun. The jokes are admittedly cringe but it makes the show funny because everything is over the top and exaggerated in a way that it almost feels like cartoon logic. Great show lol!

Its cringe worthy but.. I feel it did something cool for me personally. I was 9 when the show aired, and I've always loved singing and music. I'm 24 now and a musician. I *loved* this show. Singing and (of course boy bands in general) would always embarrass me and i would get made fun of for it which would make me never want to bring up my interest to anyone. Then I watch the pilot of this show when it first aired on Nickelodeon. None of the characters in the show except one guy wanted to even pursue singing. They were all hockey players, who came across the opportunity. And when the main character who wanted nothing to do with fame or singing, had the chance to make his friends singing dreams come true which would only be possible if all 4 of them became a group, he did it. So now here are these hockey players who had nothing to do with boy bands, singing, pop shit, are all now pop stars just because they weren't doing much else, and they could make money and make their friends dream come true. Idk, just made me feel like it doesn't matter what people think i could be interested in music or singing for any reason where I'm bad or not, whether i want to or not. Just gave me a lot of inspiration.
One of the reasons I enjoyed this as a kid was because there was no laugh track. Always hated that shit.

What really gets me about Big Time Rush is that it punctuates pretty much every single action with either a sound effect or a music cue. There are a few cartoons that do this, and I find it grating when they do it as well, but it is infinitely worse in live actions because these types of sounds effects are typically DESIGNED for cartoons, so it’s awkward to see them placed on top of live actions settings. Not to mention the constant barrage of sound effects is grating in general.

Big Time Rush was a big part of my childhood.. and back then I didn't think they were as cringy because they clearly knew and the show was actually goated..
