I had the surprised pleasure in the summer of my 16th year, 1966. My parents on the way home from Maine to California made a stop in Missouri. President Truman came out demanding to know who it was in his front yard. My father greeted the president as a mason. They talked. I got some advice from the president which I have tried to live up to since then. A picture was taken of my parents, President Truman and I in front of the house.

My friend Tom Callahan lived right near former President Truman when he was still in Missouri. When he went to get a haircut in the barber shop, there was "Give him hell Harry" getting his haircut. It inspires me that I have a friend that met him. My parents had nothing but really good things to say about the former president. He was known for being outspoken, although not at all rude. like the mouthpiece who won in 2016. Rest In Peace Harry Truman. Thanks for all you did for the working class & for racial minorities.

One of my relatives had a similar thing where the A for his middle name didn’t mean anything, the Dean of his college assigned him the middle name Alexander saying “you’ve got to have a middle name to graduate”

Mt St Helens was home to one Harry S Truman who refused to leave his home and was buried alive . The strange part is that the trees were left on the ground and choking spirit lake to study the regrowth of a forest after a major disaster. They could b Ave left a small patch to do their research . I feel like Truman was exiled for Normandy in which he was invited by Churchill as a witness.

It was 2 different Harry Trumans. The one buried during the Mt St Helens eruption was NOT the former president.... although they were both WWI veterans.

Good presentation. Wish the speaker of this event would cease losing his place, often pausing in mid-sentence, thought.

Would love to read this work, but DM needs to hire a guest CD reader, or kill the overuse of uh, gaps, clearing voice. Try drinking water.

@@marclalevee4838’ Bomb freak ‘ !? He didn’t oversee its development . FDR did ! Truman wasn’t even aware of its existence until he took office as president. And, what would you have had him do ? Order an invasion of a Japan that STILL refused to seriously contemplate surrender ? Even after the Red Army destroyed them entirely in northern China & most of Korea !?
