Animated Fish Lamp Aquatic Scenery

I'm not 100% sure what you're properly supposed to call these...
Nor do I know the exact company of this one.
You very likely had one of these as a child. They were very popular in the 90's and early 2000's.
Enjoy 4 minute footage of childhood.
Lots of variations were made in different shapes and scenery inside.

I believe the most concise name for this device is an "Aquarium Lamp".
I couldn't agree more on how nostalgic these things are. I remember as a kid, once I was bored, and I just turned one of these on that I found and watched as it scrolled. I literally fell asleep.
Sleeping next to one of these is a different story though, I unfortunately never seen one for years though I used to have one when I was really young, and never had it next to my bed, I had it on the basement desk where I would draw stuff back in the day.
Because of that, I forgot that these even existed, and part of my childhood literally just flashed before my eyes. I wanna get myself one of these now.

I always find it interesting knowing others' childhood stories with items I enjoy. Very awesome!
I actually really like using mine in the dark consistently, it lights my room well and it's satisfying all together.
I actually see multiple of these quite often at various thrift shops, I even once seen a cylinder shaped version I passed on unfortunately...
I regret doing that though, it looked really cool.
They shouldn't be super difficult to find once you do try looking, I find them in the electronics departments. Issues on them are pretty rare btw, the only problems I've seen was one with a burnt light.

So they are kinda hardy, eh? Makes sense, since they aren't as mechanically complicated as, let's say, Snowflake Spinners. Right?
Perhaps I'll take another look into the thrift stores. I been trying to find other things at those stores anywho, such as USB controllers for my PC.

​@StatickyCat Yeah, the lmaps aren't complicated mechanically, it's just a really big motor with only a couple very large gears that rarely have issues.
