This song is about the atomic bombing of Japan. Under the Red Sky refers to the effects of the blast. The frenetic riff and rhythm section captures the intensity of the events. Midori's solos depict the moment of the ignition and subsequent explosion over the city, and the chaos immediately after. Miyako's solo concentrates on the rising rom the ashes, as does the closing choral harmony at the end. I had the privilege of visiting the Peace Park in Nagasaki ten years ago. What I saw and read there changed my attitude toward war forever. Organized school groups, numbering in the tens of thousands of students from all across Japan, visit there annually.
I love everything about this performance, so many nuances going on throughout, and I love the chugging riff. What a great song, thanks for reacting and hope you are feeling better now. Keep rocking out to LOVEBITES! 🤘🐺🤘
The thing on Midori’s finger is called a slide and it’s designed to make longer sounds more fluid and they can be made from various materials (Acrylic, Glass and various metals) to produce different sounds
LOVEBITES - Under The Red Sky lyrics & credits: Rupture of the Heavens Blinding rays piercing through on a killing spree Looming in the distance, come the thundering roars of calamity Eerie bitter silence, from the whirling black smoke and insanity Time has stopped and frozen Held my breath with the death of humanity If somewhere God really exists How would He take our shame and great disgrace? Sin in the sky It was that moment when I saw you smile A suffering I will never forget At the edge of this grey world Holding you tight Searching for a glimpse of hope that we can still believe in SOLO: midori / miyako Pounded by the black rain, while the world is engulfed in a bloody sea Stolen in a moment; everything, everyone lost to history If somewhere God really exists How would He take our shame and great disgrace? Sin in the sky It was that moment when I saw you smile A suffering I will never forget But again I will find you And take your hand Cause I know, together we are stronger than this nightmare Sin in the sky It was that moment when I saw you smile A suffering I will never forget At the edge of this grey world Holding you tight Searching for a glimpse of hope that we can still believe in Sin in the sky It was that moment when I saw you smile A suffering I will never forget But again I will find you And take your hand Cause I know, together we will find a way to overcome SOLO: both / midori ----- lyrics: asami music: Mao arrangement: LOVEBITES (miho, haruna, midori, miyako, asami) & Mao album: Battle Against Damnation EP 06/06/2018 ---
Great reaction! LOVEBITES is Power Metal Band of the Year 2024! As someone who has been a fan since before the pandemic, I am thrilled that they're getting the recognition they so justly deserve. Even though so called metal heads kept putting them down I knew all along they were the real thing. So, to all the haters and detractors out there who think they know "metal" I say... get a life!
I discovered this song not long ago, and is one of my favs. Such a great composition. Midori shreds almost all the way, and Miyako very soulful solos. Banger
ASAMI lyrics change their meaning depending on the listener's situation. LOVEBITES are angels who came to save people with various difficulties through music. Good music has such immense power that it can cure illness. Please pray from Japan that they can overcome their current hardships as soon as possible.
Okay, I'm not going to give an opinion on this song. There is a LOVEBITES song called "Nameless Warrior" but you are a "Warrior with a Name". Your fate, sense of responsibility, courage, bravery, fighting spirit are incredible and deserve a lot of respect. It makes me angry that in this situation the comments so far have only talked about trivialities. As a big LOVEBITES fan, I've looked at a lot of reactions, but this reaction hits me the hardest and I wish you a lot of support. Stay strong "Soul Defender" and believe that one day you will see LOVEBITES live in concert, but first the most important things come, step by step. 🤘🙏🐺🙏🤘
Are you talking about the bottle neck Midori was using? If it is so, they make them out of booze bottle necks cut off or bones, steel pipes, pill bottles, and slide it on the strings instead of fingers. This is a phnomenal slide guitar by Steavie Ray Vaughan. Slide Thing th-cam.com/video/TsRBGcuc8jI/w-d-xo.html
Such a health struggle really can suck the joy out of life. I see many people have had success fighting crohn's with this approach: th-cam.com/video/cSZon4zNruQ/w-d-xo.html
I have Ankylosing Spondylitis, and I know biologicals like remicade react different for everyone. The good thing is that remicade isn't the only biological. Remicade did nothing for me. I've had simponi after that, still in pain. Then I started embrel, first time that I felt some difference, but I had eye-infections (uvieitis 3 times a year). Then I started humira ...better ...I haven't had any more eye infections at all since then (7-8 years now?) But that's how it was for me and you can't compare because it's for everyone different. Strange, isn't it, we are all humans, and even with the same conditions, it's not the same at all. But I do advise you to ask for other biologicals if remicade doesn't work for you, they can make the difference, even if it's just a little bit, every bit helps.
By the way, apart form AS, I'm also autistic (late diagnosis at age 52). And I'm a caregiver for my severe disabled wife. So my situation isn't so good neighter. But at least we have a better medicare system in Belgium, it's a shame you can't have that in America, chronical illness is not a choice and it can happen to everyone (and unfortunately mostly to the best of us). Unfortunately most people think that it can't happen to them, because they are too strong or whatever ...untill it does.
@rainerzufall42 actually it is covered by this video because he only reacts to video from official channel of the band or artist and the full version is the one on Lovebites channel
But I know, there's a sequence with picks thrown into the audience, Haruna with her drum sticks, etc, and the lady's leaving the stage, that's much longer than 1 second!

It's called a slide. It's a glass tube that fits over your finger. It's a tool that has been around for quite a while. Lovebites rules! 😂❤❤
LOVEBITES - Under The Red Sky lyrics & credits:
Rupture of the Heavens
Blinding rays piercing through on a killing spree
Looming in the distance, come the thundering roars of calamity
Eerie bitter silence, from the whirling black smoke and insanity
Time has stopped and frozen
Held my breath with the death of humanity
If somewhere God really exists
How would He take our shame and great disgrace?
Sin in the sky
It was that moment when I saw you smile
A suffering I will never forget
At the edge of this grey world
Holding you tight
Searching for a glimpse of hope that we can still believe in
SOLO: midori / miyako
Pounded by the black rain, while the world is engulfed in a bloody sea
Stolen in a moment; everything, everyone lost to history
If somewhere God really exists
How would He take our shame and great disgrace?
Sin in the sky
It was that moment when I saw you smile
A suffering I will never forget
But again I will find you
And take your hand
Cause I know, together we are stronger than this nightmare
Sin in the sky
It was that moment when I saw you smile
A suffering I will never forget
At the edge of this grey world
Holding you tight
Searching for a glimpse of hope that we can still believe in
Sin in the sky
It was that moment when I saw you smile
A suffering I will never forget
But again I will find you
And take your hand
Cause I know, together we will find a way to overcome

Midori was using a slide and the eerie/foreboding sound it produced always gave me goosebumps.

Dude you stopped the video too early, they have a good time with the crowd after the song
If you look carefully, this video ended here! I know what you mean, but it's not covered by this video...

@@andymitchell914 Andy (hope that's your name), the counter is at 6:25 and the video is 6:26 long. Could not be more that 1 second!
