How do you cut the hooks to shorten them?

He is referring to cutting the eye and then attaching directly to the swivel , rather than using split rings , Split rings make the hooks hang much lower, and therefore more chance of front and rear belly hooks
" marrying", which would essentially disable them from properly hooking a fish... The belly hooks in Danny 2 size plugs are usually very close together, so this could make a big difference .
