FALCONRY: Aplomados & bald eagle !

It’s that time of year , time to get the display birds airborne , join us on the bald eagles first soaring flight of 2023 and watch Emily put one of our aplomados through a raining session ; very very windy so please bare with the wind noise . Full Aplomado video coming ‘soon’ I promise

the Aplomado has to be one of the most beautiful falcons, and, seeing that tail, almost matching her wingspan, clearly built for darting about! I've seen video of an Aplomado pair 'at work', protecting fruit and berries, and they seem to want to pursue, right through trees, barns, fences...man, they are *persistent!* And, a video of a pair, taken with a 'backpack camera', showed how they play and work, as a pair...fantastic speed and maneuverability!

He flies about 8.5 pounds but if fat another round or two !
