I definitely agree with you on the all over teh place comment. That being said, it somehow all falls into place in a really weird yet incredibly enjoyable way if that makes any sense. Visually speaking I musts tart by giving kudos to SM and its design team for doing something I never even would've expected from them. Stylistically, aesthetically speaking I quite simply love it. It's colorful and bubbly yet not as... Abrassive-so to speak- as Happiness was IMO. Musically speaking and production wise the song is just... The perfect definition and represention of what imagine electric bubble gum [K]pop music should be and sound like. The combo of the very much in your face colorful and quite tasteful aesthetic and the music makes an overall very enjoyable and dare I say, brilliant release. I feel like I should definitely look up the lyrics translation because from my understanding, the song is quite cheeky not to say suggestive[ly flirty]. I am quite shocked by what I'm about to write but for the very first time since f(x)'s Red Light release, I have absolutely nothing bad to say about an SM's release. Well done.
The way I found out this mv came out was seeing people shit on it calling it a mess and garbage so I watched it with low expectations and guess what? I fuckin LOVE IT! It's like a mess that works together and somehow connects to each other, it's less in pieces like IGAB or red light
Even though the chorus and rest of song are quite different, i really liked it. Saw some people speculating it might have been a f(x) song that they remade for RV. When i listened to it, it sounded a lot like something f(x) would sing and you can totally imagine f(x) members doing some of the parts in this song.
Hahaha you in the dark with that "lalalalala" tune. You know, the song was so refreshing to me, I enjoyed the video at first watch, it was just something different. I'm used to seeing the same thing a lot in kpop, sorry, so if I can see something different I'll respect it :P
Actually this is one of the best SM's MV This is perfect , colours ,they're pretty and dance very well Your reaction always makes me smile, you are so funny!
the music video was so unique! the song is really upbeat and seriously fun and the mv was really pleasing to the eye. you're just never bored watching it and i think that's important.
This is probably the most creative mv that SM has ever done! Finally Red Velevet had their time to shine and it paid off!! And I loved that rap part too!!! They slayed! 😄👍❤
No box set! Wooooooo SM finally! And they sent the girls to California to shoot the mv. Notice the same gas station as b1a4 solo day? Lol awesome mv, I'm totally diggin it.
emily yang people are really pissed because apparently they scenes are a little TOO familiar. same sets, actions and they even had a shopping cart scene..
TehKCVlogs yea I heard about that but I think its ridiculous. Same set. What if it was the same camera crew. So maybe they are bound to use the same props. I think its retarded. Haha
I love the craziness in the video. Just like Red Light and I Got A Boy, I really like them too. These songs are either on the hate side or the favourite side for different people. Absolute love! I think it's very unique.
OMG SM THANK YOU FOR TAKING THEM OUT OF A BOX SET!!!! The most coolest, weirdest, and random part of the mv is the big white catttt!! Omg i luv tht cat.
I'm crying tbh XD You and I had the *exact* same reaction at the beginning... and... pretty much throughout the vid. It was hella random, but surprisingly addicting~
ICC is the most aesthetic mv sm ever made for redvelvet.. the song was great too, the dropbeat and the rap was dope.. if only we can get this kind of concept again.. i will definitely praise sm's hardwork
This song reminded me of Jpop with the super upbeat sugary pop feels...I have to say that I like this Mv and the song because it feels like the intro is the beginning to some scary movie. I jus like this one, I'm feeling the weird
I know at first you're like: whaaat that la la la is scary... how's the new member? that's the dance ? that's the chorus ? those outfits ? (in my opinion are ON POINT ♡) but in the end is like BOOM THIS SHIT IS DAMN GOOD ! What's why I LOVE, EAT, AND PRAY KPOP
From IGAB to Red Light till now, someone at SM is obsessed with figuring out how to transition between vastly different beats and whoever it is is getting better and smoother each time lol. I liked it a lot! It's fun and upbeat and they've gotten a lot better at rapping. I'm excited for the live stage and more of the dance.
For the first part (the lalalala part) I thought the concept was gonna be some creepy dolls eating ice cream cake LOL but then Ive watched the whole video, Wow. Its incredibly amazingly awesome. So addictive that I need to rewatch and hear it all over again
WOW, I can't believe I've been a fan of JRE and Red Velvet for 7 years! Fond memories of this song and your reaction (I had the same one, but love the song).
Whenever I listen to SM's songs (especially those of fx or red velvet) my immediate reaction is what the heck is this crazy song but i always soon end up liking them. This song is so amazing in that the song atmosphere is somewhat cheerful and creepy at the same time. Regarding its creepy yet cute lyrics, I think this music video is vey well made. I actually heard that the music video is inspired by the movie titled velvet vampire and i don't know much about that movie but relating their lyrics and vampire concept and everything gives me a goosebump :p
ooomg I loved it first time round, the song is super catchy and the video made me feel all kinda things idk for some reason it made me feel really nostalgic and weird .. so good
Jrekml i loved it i watched it literally 20 times with my baby he loved it too just the beginning like wth it was so creepy but still love it this is my favorite red velvet song and thanks for reacting and now to watch it again
Red velvet r like a mix of fx and snsd but they have their own uniqueness. Love this song and i can see how theyre building their own style of music and concepts. Looking forward to that album!
HAHAHAHA *Your face at **1:27**!* lol I had the same reaction with that beat change..but this is SM Entertainment with ther quirky music lol My 8yr old sister calls this song the "Annabelle Song" cause of that creepy LaLaLaLa part haha
Never really cared for kpop girl groups that much before red velvet (yes I listened to occasional songs and TTS' album holler is good) but I've never been like a real like fan ya no? Anyways when this came out I replayed it about 12 times then went to sleep woke up and watched it about 3 more times before going to class. it's soooo catchy and I actually get a good vibe and first impression of the members (from happiness and of yeri in ice cream cake). I think people should really watch out for RV I feel like they could be big. but when I first saw the huge cat I was like "wtf????" -this comment is all over the place sorry-
HOLY SHIT I LOVE YOU first time stumbling upon this, i've just been getting into kpop and tbh i really only care about them (red velvet) right now and this reaction is literally everything i love you
"Oh dippin' dots?" LOL I totally understand how overwhelmed you are because I had to watch the MV over and over again to take it all in - SM's MV production is getting so much better! When they only had box MVs you would basically watch the MV once and then get the song lol but now I'm really addicted to this MV, it's all aesthetically pleasing and shit. Too much to say about it!
When u first watched it I literally stayed up for like 3 or 2 hours just rewinding it and rewinding it talking to another friend while discussing it (like no lie I really did that lol) when I saw it I only payed attention to the flow of the song and how I liked how different it was but once you start to really listen to everything that's going on with the beats and stuff it really doesn't sound thrown together like it's very very simple I was so amazed at how well they made the beat and how they made certain parts attract you like for example the La la la la la parts it grabbed your attention didn't it and behind that la la part is a weird sound (listen to the karaoke) and it gives emphasis on the la la la and in the rap how they pulled everything back (except that creepy sounding thing which I love) and let Irene's voice sound like it was right in front of you at first I thought it was a weird transition but then I came to really love it how they let the beat slowly come in and how they keep you interested the song was perfectly made for people with a somewhat odd taste in music but still a nice beat
Honestly, I really don't like SM ent, so I'm totally unbiased when it comes to there music, but Red Velvet are actually really good. I just love Ice Cream Cake. From their colorful clothes, to the song, to their hair and even the twisted little things that makes the mv weird, funny, upbeat and creepy at the same time... It really is a good song and MV.
I like the visuals and styling of the mv. The song is fun and anyone can make a weird dance to go along with it. The lalalas were creepy, but I feel like it gave the song some spice. What I did not like is when they put Yeri's hair in pigtails. I liked how they styled her in Automatic more.
This was filmed in Palmdale, California! (From what I heard/read, anyways) While I watched the video, I tried to recognize the actual location (bc I live there) but it's literally just trees and dirt so it was a failure...
*turns of lights* *attempts to play the music again* *looks around his room to check if there's something creepy going on* *red velvet starts to sing* *body rolls* "Da beat tho!"
The background is based on a horror accident. LITERALLY LOOK AT THE BACKGROUND AND THE BEGINNING also, it IS DARK because of the lyrics. The setting is like they're ghosts.
I actually like the lalala parts, kinda creepy but it gets stuck in your head
Same!!!! Its an addictioan for me
It reminds me of a song of f(x) that was also totally creepy but good
Whoop! Yes! I felt the judgement when I through the comments and saw that most people found it strange haha so I didn't comment.
Ikr!!!
their music is always unique but stuck in head, feel freshing
Flashback to when he didn't have any red velvet posters
+Olivia Ricketts hahaha true
I thought it was one of the best MVs produced by SMent!
yup one of the few outdoor music video sm ever made
No box room this time xD
Finally SM let their artist out of the box XD
+Deniz No outdoor shooting you have to rent the space so outdoor is much more expensive
Lol Lol no. Boxes cost more.
Whats up Everyone! Thank you for watching! Like this video Lets Get This Video to 1k likes! and Share and Subscribe! Now time for some Ice cream cake
I definitely agree with you on the all over teh place comment. That being said, it somehow all falls into place in a really weird yet incredibly enjoyable way if that makes any sense.

Well done.

The way I found out this mv came out was seeing people shit on it calling it a mess and garbage so I watched it with low expectations and guess what? I fuckin LOVE IT! It's like a mess that works together and somehow connects to each other, it's less in pieces like IGAB or red light
I love it! The glowing jackets are epic.
Even though the chorus and rest of song are quite different, i really liked it. Saw some people speculating it might have been a f(x) song that they remade for RV. When i listened to it, it sounded a lot like something f(x) would sing and you can totally imagine f(x) members doing some of the parts in this song.
It would be awesome if f(x) did it OMG but red velvet killed it >u
Hamhead223 I also thought the same! While watching this video, I felt it was very reminiscent of f(x)'s style.
Hahaha you in the dark with that "lalalalala" tune.
You know, the song was so refreshing to me, I enjoyed the video at first watch, it was just something different. I'm used to seeing the same thing a lot in kpop, sorry, so if I can see something different I'll respect it :P
Hey do you know how to reply to someone with that + sign thing

You're so funny OMG hahahahah "what if it was dark?" *scared face* "that beat doe" ahahahaha ♥
I thought I was the only one who thought the gas station looked familiar 😂
I also found it very familiar :/
emily yang people are really pissed because apparently they scenes are a little TOO familiar.
same sets, actions and they even had a shopping cart scene..
TehKCVlogs yea I heard about that but I think its ridiculous. Same set. What if it was the same camera crew. So maybe they are bound to use the same props. I think its retarded. Haha
That pink ball is still following them?.. xD
Hi sorry this is off topic of the video but do you have a job
Fluffy In my 15? Sorry, no.. Omg what should I do :(
Tess the Meerkat its part of their logo

I was exactly reading this when he said it😂
I reallyyy like the chorus :) this style suits them more than the mature concepts I think...
I love the craziness in the video. Just like Red Light and I Got A Boy, I really like them too. These songs are either on the hate side or the favourite side for different people. Absolute love! I think it's very unique.
Similarities in style....

Whenever I listen to SM's songs (especially those of fx or red velvet) my immediate reaction is what the heck is this crazy song but i always soon end up liking them. Personally I think it was pure slayyyage.
I replayed it 50+ times already I LURVE IT!!!!
You know what's crazy? The fact that I missed this big-ass cat when I watched the mv on my own before I turned to your video.
You said You can have THEM??? NONONO!!! they are mine!!!
It's very hot today and Red Velvet was right...I do want some ice cream. So I drove my car and on the way there I played this song lok
YOU ARE SO FUNNNNNY!!!! ;D totally just made my morning

I just love this song and this video SO much!!! This is so amazing!! I really really love it!!!

I LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH!!! IT'S SO GOOD EVERYTHING OMG I CAN'T
Dope band, dope song, dope MV. This is dope.
It was so funny when you are freaked out with the lalala part. That was my reaction when I first heard that. And your dance move is pretty good!! XD
This was filmed in Palmdale, California! (From what I heard/read, anyways) While I watched the video, I tried to recognize the actual location (bc I live there) but it's literally just trees and dirt so it was a failure...
Irene’s rap was so freaking lit.
Wow, you are super fast~ Awesome reaction as always :)
His reaction to the big white cat is priceless 😂😂😂
When they started rapping I was just like "Woah....woah that's new" lmao
jre before irene's rap be like: 'whoa dippin dots!'
so true.
oh my god I was dying when you were acting all scared in the dark and then just "THAT BEAT DOE"
This is an epic song. I love it.
And the "lalalala lala lala" is the best part!!!
the part where he was creeped out by the 'lalala' but then was like 'that beat tho' lol
From a Happy LALALALA to a Creepy LALALALA
"What the F--? It's a cat! It's a big-ass pussycat!"
Exactly My Reaction! XD
*turns of lights*
*attempts to play the music again*
*looks around his room to check if there's something creepy going on*
*red velvet starts to sing*
*body rolls* "Da beat tho!"
The backing music is creepy sometimes and I love it
The start killed me! I was watching the MV in the dark I almost pee in my pants ;;-;;..
Maknae so adorable
Your face when it's started the song is really funny!!
The background is based on a horror accident. LITERALLY LOOK AT THE BACKGROUND AND THE BEGINNING also, it IS DARK because of the lyrics. The setting is like they're ghosts.
YOURE SOO FAST!!! and Idk why everyone finds the lalala part creepy, I think it's pretty cheerful!!!
