Spamton - Real Boy ( DELTARUNE Animation)

- An animation based on the Phineas and Ferb song "Real Boy". It took me over 2 months to make, but I finally got it done. Although I am a begginer at animating stuff in pixel art, I am very pleased with how it came out. Hope you guys enjoy!

I never thought that Norman's fire track will fit so much to Spamton. Actually, if I think about it, there are many music tracks strangely fitting Spamton...
True! Funny enough, got the idea to make it while randomly remembering Phineas and Ferb songs I used to listen to as a kid. Oh how time flies...

I was surprised I came with that one too... I was initially going to have Spamton fish in somebody's fish bucket (stealing) while they were fishing themselves beside the acid lake.
Glad you liked the animation though, never would've imagined this would get even a 1000 views.

Trust me, I am not trying to fish for compliments or look humble, but there is a lot of room for improvement. While it is one of my best works yet, I feel like I still have a long way to cement my art style and master animation techniques. Still not even close to some people I am looking up to.

Well this is incredibly coincidental, cause in my Phineas and Ferb AU "DeltaFerb", Norm replaces spamton and has the "real boy" rap as the vocals.
I actually saw it a few weeks ago, crazy! But I knew I wasn't the only one who made that connection, that song fit Spamton's character like a glove.

The upside of being a "good animation" with low views is that the people who do click ok it will be even more pleasantly surprised, so there's that!
Thank you so much for the comment, but I have a loooong way to go to reach the level of people like Asesprite Rico or other pixel animators. This was just a love letter to a character I love a ton and gave me joy.

This is super cool! Everything flows really well and the art looks sick! I’m really surprised how well a Phineas and Ferb song fits with Spamton. ..well, not too surprised. That show fits with practically everything- but still!!!

Edit: Felt like I should elaborare a little: I really love the illustrations and I think the video is full of clever references/jokes. Only thing that could use some improvement is the fluidity of the animations, but that will certainly come with time and experience
I really appreciate comments like these! I 100% agree, my biggest weakness when it comes to animating is movement of course and pacing, so it is a sigh of relief to see my doubts being confirmed.
And about the jokes/ references, I really appreciate it!!! There is something I hid in there I wonder if anyone will find anytime soon. This video was moreso just a love letter to a character I really love, so I am glad people are enjoying it as an upside.

On a more serious note, what I noticed about most animators I follow is that their movement more often than not started off very rigid, and then improved little by little with every video. You'll get there I'm sure
@@lorenzovitali9734 That is something that I can confirm first hand regarding animations. As you progress, you develop your own style and flow to it, and it becomes less and less "robotic" in a way.

There was actually someone working on a Deltaferb AU with this pairing.
It's funny because I noticed it while making it as well, it was a Norm NEO fight with a remix of that song I believe.

Okay for real, although I am kinda broke right now, I am not sure if I will make a patreon anytime soon. This is a beautiful Spamton animation, dude! Read some of your replies to others, and you are on a great track to being like the ones you look up to! Also, we both have something in common, in that we both look up to Rico!
By the way, did you use Aseprite for this, or something else?
Yup! Asesprite is such a good program... So glad I made the switch early when I started from those online crappy pixel art websites. In my opinion, THE program for pixel arting.

@@IamDoru1 Oh yeah, I completely agree, Aseprite is amazing for pixel art. I remember in school, I'd just going on Pixil art or piksel and try to do stuff occasionally. Prob will be doin that again next year, lol. Stuff like this thing is also why I keep doing pixel art!
Also, how do you turn an Aseprite animation into a file to upload to YT, and what audio editor do you use?
@@Space_Pencil In order to not lose quality during compression, I first turned the asesprite gif file into an audioless mp4. Then I put the mp4 alongside the audio in a video editing program called "Videopad", and then I added some subtitles for the lyrics of the song. I am not the best at editing I'll be honest lol
@@IamDoru1 Thank you so much! And hey, I'm not the best at editing, either! The best editing I've done is on the crap on my channel, which is really just Luigi and Kratos falling with the Undertale intro music playing, lol!
Edit: Just realized you're the Spamton: Quarters and Change guy! The spritework in there is amazing as well!
@@Space_Pencil I'd say the mod kind of became outdated as my style evolved, but of course as my first big project I still have a soft spot for him. Well, there's always room to learn my friend.
What animation software do you use
Asesprite for the pixel art, Videopad for putting it together.
