Wow such an electrifying and powerful performance! Love their smiles as much as the way they manage to surpass the greatness of their very first songs that through small alterations are turned into absolute new masterpieces. BC Forever!
You appear to be a pretty musically educated person yourself, providing us with this interesting information. Thank you ! I love the Clash's "should I stay or should I go' right at the beginning.
Been listening to the scratch medley intro. I've come up with these: The Modern Lovers-Roadrunner The Clash-Should I Stay or Should I Go? The Jam-Boy About Town David Bowie-Rebel Rebel Aerosmith-Walk This Way The dB's-Spy in the House of Love (someone said New Order-Blue Monday, but pretty sure it is dB's) Anybody hear something more, or something else?
Purely and simply the BEST band ever. Timeless music, Thank you Big Country and RIP Stuart
By a long shot! Couldn't agree with you more mate!
Fuck yeah, saw them in Birmingham in 1996 - they essentially played in a huge tent
Our piper played this after much rehearsal when we departed Kandahar in 2005 as part of the 33CBG RCR.
I count myself incredibly fortunate to have seen this same performance live.

What a band they still are . Thanks to Bruce/ Mark for keeping the flame lighting
I so love this band. Have seen them live often. 2 hours of jumping, non stop. Still on fire. Miss them, miss him.
This song speaks to my soul, it always picks me up when I'm feeling down, and I'll never tire of it
Cheers BC 1.000 Star's, I Will Watch it This Weekend, Many Thanks For Your Reply, Appreciated.
this is why Big Country are my fav band ever!!
Amazing! Love the nod to 'Blue Monday' at 1:19 and Prokofiev's Lieutenant Kizhe at 4:26 or thereabouts - musically educated guy was Stuart (RIP)
jaford2 he sure was. Sorely missed. 😥
BC1000stars Thank you so much for putting all this stuff up for us to enjoy - really appreciate it!

Elvia Claesson Yeah, just one riff (to avoid any copyright issues, presumably! )
6:12 "We're called Big Country". I saw them live three times; it wasn't near enough.
Me too
Saw them a lot more than that and it still wasn't enough
There's no such thing as too much Big Country. I've been enjoying their music since 1983. I will NEVER tire of listening to Big Country!

Oh to have been there that night!
One word, AWESOME....
Excellent video. Thanks for sharing
Guitar genius!
Marvelous Musicianship.
I just realized the date of this concert. That was before the wall came down! How did they even get permission to play? And look at the turnout.
It was all done under the banner of 'change’ then, the movement had started, Big Country were playing a small but significant role. 🙂
Superb,always was,and always will,god bless you SA
Fire!
Genial !
No wonder the wall came down.
Charisma.
The bagpipe-like guitar solos are incredibly catchy!
You know a year later the wall came down

3:25 Sweet Stuart's personality
Joyous stuff.
Shame we'll never see this version again but I understand it's in respect of and to Stuart that we don't and won't.
The Aerosmith and Bowie tributes at the beginning kinda, really, freaked me out! 1 2 3 4!
I love all of these videos of them live. East Berlin, they kicked it. Do you have a link to show the whole concert in one go?
