Long back when I was a resident of New Delhi our neighbour a resident of Almora insisted on us to visit Almora during the summer retreat.He had made arrangement for a rental stay for two months.The year was 1961 As expected it was a most memorable trip for us Visiting temples some of them was required to climb and others you have to descend We had a memorable visit to Ramakrishna Mutt and they served us lunch We also had the fortune of visiting Fruit canning centers where if you purchase apples and give them they made Jam and handed over to us in glass jars all with a predetermined price.I just cannot forget the Sweet delicacy called Baal.
