    I started my own business this month and I am meeting with my first client today. I retired last yr at 55 with 3 houses paid off worth 4.5 million. I will have an income stream of $20,000 per yr through my business. I realized that the secret to making a million is making better investments.

    One thing nobody seems to talk about or cover is funding your LLC. Ok, you got it formed, you take your papers to the bank to open an account, then what? What do you do? If you're setting up your LLC to protect your assets, and taxes are a concern, what is the right move? Just whip out a $20 bill and put it in the account? How does that go into the accounting books? Everyone skips right over this and it seems pretty important to me.

    I just applied for a mortgage to buy my first home . Although my business makes $90,000 a year I was writing everything off . This year when I filed I didn't write everything off . Long story short , my credit is 750 but I didn't show enough income to buy the house so basically I need a co-signer or I have to wait another year 🤷‍♀️. So iam going to set everything up so I can now start paying myself a w-2

      I don't disagree with you on this statement however I need to address something. Don't let the color of someone's skin or how they look dictate how much you can learn from them. Education that leads to success has nothing to do with the color of someone's skin or the image they portray to their peers. If you're waiting around for someone who looks like you to lead you to success, you'll be waiting a long time. Why? Because you're suffocating your potential education and growth. Limiting your opportunities to be inspired by. This is the problem in the minority community. We're waiting for someone from OUR community to come up so we can ride their train to success. If you truly want to win, you need to follow the lead of ANYONE willing to educate you. We need to teach our children that too. These white people at the top weren't given a hand out. They learned how to play the game and make sure their kids know how to play it too. Their isn't anything wrong from learning from a true billionaire and a wealthy family who's been running things for years. Matter of fact you might start to understand why these people act the way they do towards others. It's a win win.
      We have it SO easy these days. ALL this information is on our phones. We just don't spend the time to learn it. We're waiting for someone familiar to hold our hands and lead us into success. Again it's in all of our hands everyday. We're just too lazy to dive deep into the subject. This might be the result of people not wanting to accept how hard rich people actually work. Those people are always grinding and working towards success. That's the only path forward regardless of what you look like. So learn the game from anyone willing to help you learn it.
      Sorry for the rant but I think this subject is extremely important for minority to understand. My peers are doing the same dumb shit they were doing 20 years ago. I'd be drowning with them if I didn't search for more on my own. If I wasn't willing to study truly successful people.

    • @Adornedbythequeen
      @Adornedbythequeen ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@AMetalWorks I appreciate your outlook. However, I am definitely not limiting myself to learn only from people who look like me. I am a global learner, I learn from everyone & I’ve attained much success in doing so. But as previously stated, I love seeing minorities, especially black men and women uplift our community because we don’t have as much representation as we should. I will continue to give these men their flowers because our community needs them.

    The second time I reviewed it again and fast forward some parts, sorry.
    I'm back for the third time because as I was doing some homework and going through different websites I landed on LLC University and as I was going through their website I remember that it sounded familiar and I didn't know where I heard it from. As I was watching a video before this one, this one came on next because it was playing all my TH-cam "Favorites" and when this one came on and in the beginning you mentioned LLC University, that's where I know that I knew I heard it from here.

    This was great content, excellent speakers. I would have added a few things..............Any time the owner has a personal vehicle used for business consideration should be given to whether the S corp will still make sense. Also, for anyone relying on social security for retirement I WOULD NOT recommend trying to save a few dollars on social security tax today -it lowers future social security benefits at retirement. Also, never put real estate into an S Corp --it's like marriage, easy to get into hard to get out of. With real estate put it in a regular LLC - like dating, easy to get into and easy to get out of.

    Dropping gems. Great information. Please clarify that there is no such tax entity as an S-corp. It is a tax structure. You have to be an LLC or corporation to be taxed as an S-corp. You cannot own an S-corp. You cannot upgrade to a S-corp. You simply choose to file the paperwork to be taxed as an S-corp.

    Great video! I appreciate the good content. There were some bonafide gems dropped in this video. I had a question and I open this up to anyone knowledgeable enough to answer as I know sometimes the gurus doing these videos don't always have the time to respond to the comments. But my question is this... it was mentioned in the video that once you have your LLC established, to make sure you set up multiple separate accounts with the same bank: an Income Account, Expense Account, a Tax Account etc. But do you recommend that we divvy up and transfer the funds in these separate accounts once at the end of each month, or per every sales transaction?
