Since Ben kissed Charlie the way he did, abusive, it's like... cool that Nick didn't and that Charlie take the first step this time. It's like...OK...I want to be with you, and now you have to decide what to do, I'm not forcing anything.
@Gabriel Prescott I think we can also add that Nick previously had the experience of public peer pressure when Imogen asked him out in front of all their mates (to be fair, she was pushed by Harry), so it would have been really out of character for him to do the same to Charlie, especially given the state of their relationship.

hi just want you to know i love your rection because you explan what is happeing so people can understand every episodes and its is so love warm and everything about this show it tells everything what can happen in our lives the bads and the good sametimes it hard for people to come out i know how that feels i feel the same way and nick and charlie are so speical and there love for each other are so real their passion is so beautiful and they got very strong friendship i love them so much they support each other and beening there for each other its so magic and lovely to watch and there chemistry is strong and they ment to be together and i love how nick came out to his mum that will make everyone cry i did that was so loved and very speical for young teens what they going though in life. and everything was spot on and i realy love it and i cant waite for season 2 to see how nick and charlie realiship goes and everyone in it and cant waite for it

Alice mentioned that volume 5 book will be out this year (on her website) & season 3 will be volumes 5&6 (still to be written). I’ve read them all and Season 2 is going to break hearts (tissues required for the roller coaster of emotions)
Fun fact: The woman sitting on the train is a cameo appearance by Alice Oseman, the writer and creator of the comics! And when it comes to Tao and Elle, I think Tao feel the vibes too, but I think both of them are afraid of taking the step, because they know everything will change after that and that is scary. And thats why they're both hesitant.

Btw the extra passenger sitting in the train with them was the actual author making a sneaky cameo. They’ve already started filming for season 2 now. I’m confident that it’ll be just as great.

I believe vol. 3 will be the second season and the third will be vol. 4… Vol. 5 is still being written and is on a hiatus as Alice is wrapped up in writing the scripts and helping with the show. I'm honestly REALLY curious how they're going to handle Nick's coming out with classmates next season. In the graphic novel, the Sports Day event didn't exist and they didn't start telling anyone until volume 3.

first, thank u for ur reactions! loved every single one of them!! as for the graphics novels, there are 4 volumes of Heartstopper (a 5th one on its way). s1 covered vol1 and vol2 and its pretty much the same storyline but they obviously added up new things to make it fit to a tv show (with new characters / more screentime for others). u also have 2 novellas called "This Winter" happening during vol4 and "Nick and Charlie" which is happening after. "Solitaire" is based on Tori's story but obviously Nick and Charlie are mentionned in it (the story is happening between vol3 and vol4 of Heartstopper). Alice also made other books, "Radio Silence" which is Aled's story (here in the tv show Isaac is the one playing him) + "Loveless" and "I was born for this".

Someone mentioned in another reaction that after the run and Charlie tells off Ben, if you look close (if you have hi def) you can clearly see a tear in Ben's eye. Most likely it is real since the actor who plays ben is actually a very nice person in real life. I think it was an honest emotion and not acting. Re: the final scene with Nick taking Charlie's hand. It's not always a gay thing in some areas to hold hands with a friend. The show is close to the comics but not completely as Isaac is not in them at all and there is are 2 characters missing from this section. Nick says on the beach that he wants to come out so I think in his head, walking off with Charlie was not the big coming out. People didn't really react when they held hands at Harry's birthday either although this was more bold. I have read the comics and there could be some very amazing scenes coming up especially considering how good the acting and directing has been. I would recommend not reading the comics if you want true reactions. I like it when you predict what might happen and are wrong. It shows just how much this show is not like others since we have been programmed what to expect. Your predictions are more often right than wrong but they're honest and it is one of the main reasons why I like your reactions...compared to some others. Take care...looking forward to your next Young Royals season 2 and Heartstopper 2 when they come out.
Bash didnt break character, it was precise acting on his part. All season he's been adding that little layer to Ben to show where that toxicity came from. In that scene, Charlie finally stands up for himself and throws it in Ben's face by saying "You are toxic and using me as your punching bag because you hate yourself and are terrified about being queer". So yeah Ben acts all tough but someone throwing all that in his face makes him tear up because he knows it's true. It wasnt Bash reacting cause he's nice, it was Bash being a great actor
@@n0emiette Yeah agreed. I think that was the moment Ben realises he's fully lost Charlie and just how much he's fucked up. He liked/loved Charlie, but doesn't realise this or know what to do with it because of some major internalised homophobia and self hate. Hence the toxic behaviour and lashing out. In this scene, he also sees someone owning and loving who they are, which is hard hitting since he is not at all there yet. Brilliant level of detail and character depth from Bash.

Alice Oseman, the author, has said there will eventually be a total of 5 volumes: volumes 1-4 have already been published, with the final volume, volume 5, being published in early 2023 (in the UK at least, I think the US also, not sure about elsewhere).

Held off reading the books, but finally decided to go for it! I read through book 4 and I’m glad I did. I don’t really feel like the next seasons of the show will be spoiled because some things just have to change for the show anyways, like they already have.
Isaac's storyiine has it's own book, Radio Silence. He goes by Aled, and I just finished it. It's very intense, at times, but such an important story. And I wish some of it would be in the series!
I don't think Radio Silence's story line would be in the series since the main reason why Aled has been replaced by Isaac was to keep the possibility to adapt Radio Silence outside of the serie's realm.
I'm a little sad that we're through with all the episodes for now, it was so fun! But also I've been waiting for this one, because it's so incredibly heartwarming, especially the last third of it. I'm also can't wait for the second season. We already got some pictures from them being back in production and my excitement just got bigger. I read all the graphic novels after I watched Heartstopper. This season is book 1 and 2. The show expanded on them a little bit though, especially for the side characters etc. I'm very curious how similar/different the next season will be.
