Multnomah County DA race: Fact-checking a political ad aimed at Nathan Vasquez

- Senior Deputy District Attorney Nathan Vasquez is running against his boss, incumbent Mike Schmidt, for the Multnomah County DA seat. Yesterday, we looked at an ad aimed at Schmidt and bankrolled by the Vasquez campaign. Now we're looking at an ad against Vasquez, which is mostly found online.

Schmidt failed, and I am glad Portland woke up and will hold criminals accountable. Portland must clean up the dump it has become. Portland was a beautiful city and needs to get its reputation back as a liveable and beautiful city.

It is truly depressing, when the most Progressive Candidates, who don't take ANY SUPERPAC $$$$$, because they ONLY want to be Accountable to THEIR PPL, & not some corporations or lobbyists therefore, ad nauseum - can rarely get elected, for that Dedication. How on earth is there not a clear disclosure that Betsy Johnson is EMPLOYED by KGW? Simply sloppy journalism, there are ethical standards that should be followed to maintain trust.

The 'attack' ad against Schmidt was mostly fact based. This attack ad against Vasquez is mostly disingenuous and outright lies. That should tell voters a lot.

Well, Thank You for completing this Pat! I do find it interesting, that while Nathan brags about Prosecuting some "Proud Boy(s);" he IS, an Employee of the DA's Office, so, well, unless he is a rogue Prosecutor, he no doubt received his Assignment from his BOSS? - Mike Schmidt!
