So, you're telling me that you never quickswapped? Never multi-bought supplies from captain's shop? Never used the silent ladder grab? Never lootsprinted? Never cancelled a sword lunge by grabbing onto something? Never sword lunged into water to speed swim 20 meters in a second? All of those things are definitely unintended behaviour, but as people keep using them for months without them getting patched, they become just features. None of these things require much more effort than the ladder launch. It's literally just double-tap interact and then jump in a correct direction. Unless you somehow never used any of these before, then it's pretty hypocritical to act like the ones you use are normal features, and the ones you don't are disgusting exploits. You can't seriously believe that a guy blatantly installing cheats to get unfair advantage is the same as a guy doing a funny double tap on a ladder that any player can learn to do in minutes.

I enjoy ladder launch, and I liked ledge boards on galleons. They fixed the gally one, though, so just a matter of time for the sloop launch.
