The Abarth racing stable started in 1949 with 2 roadsters like these overtaken from the Cisitalia racing stable managed before by Carlo Abarth and on such a car it was Tazio Nuvolari who did his very last race in Sicily in 1950 and won the class up to 1100 cc.
Those are some nice cars.... I would love to see a show on Dennis Gage's own cars...after all his show is called "My Classic Car", I'd love to see what he has in his own collection.
Fantastic, I hope you have more than just this 16 odd minutes, I can see a good 45 minutes more of his works you could easily do. Hope there is more in the vault!
Such striking beauty, a wonderfully shot video of some expertly crafted works of art, driven amongst God's own handiwork. This was truly special, thank you!
+@@MyClassicCarTV -- When you do that could you maybe note it and the reason in the description. It is a bit disappointing to see what looks like a great new video and the three minutes in you start saying, "I think I've seen this one before." Still great stuff though...
I wish you would come across the torpedo built by Steve Moal. I think Tim Allen has it. A Ferrari engine and pure Italian style in American Roadster, so Sleek it looks like it came that way from pinafarrina
I believe the disco volante was started at 1952 or 1953 mille miglia race with Juan Manuel Fangio at the wheel but it did not finish because of technical reason.
There was no way Alfa would be able to compete while Ferrari was in charge. Ferrari races and wins. Alfa is the historical prestige brand. Luv and Peace.
Dennis has the best job in the world... and deserves it.
he gets paid to do this. ...best job in the world.
That guy has some serious skills.
indeed
The "Disco Volante" is spectacular: The sound alone is worth the price of admission!
Amazing, truly amazing. Magnus is such a skilful craftsman.
lol
the cars are beautiful, the scenery is amazeballs, the roads are everything!
What a car, what an artist, some great roads equal an excellent vid
WOW..You are correct. Magnus is a very talented man indeed!!
Increadible Fiat " Carlo Abarth " and Alfa Romeo " Disco Volante " and good video ....thank you with this video !!!
Dennis, you are the Magnus of automotive journalism. The best of the best. Another great show.
Talented is an understatement.
Great presentation! Thank you Dennis. As of this post, 3 people did not like the video. What were they expecting, NASCAR?
What an absolute Artist...this mans an amazing craftsman. Spectacular
That has to be one of the most rewarding & fulfilling jobs a person could have. In fact, I wouldn't even think of it as a job.
I love old race cars, Nice to see them being made at home
Absolutely beautiful cars, beautiful roads, beautiful country.
La jonconde de l’automobile . Une œuvre d’art . Une ligne incroyable .
If there was ever a car that fit your personality by design Dennis it would be the 1950 Alfa Romeo Disco Volante!
That Alfa Romeo literally took my breath away so gorgeous
My like gave the video perfect ten percent likes to views

they are nice cars glad to see the Italians are left hand steer at least, so that means they drive on the proper side of the road

Very mechanical sporty sound... amazing.
Isn't this a re-upload of an old episode? Anyway love to have another look at that gorgeous Disco Volante replica!
It definitely is a re-upload.
This is what i started looking for in the comments. I've seen it before too.
It's a re-edit with a lot of the previous flaws fixed.

I assembled a vehicle from dissimilar parts once... hard to imagine having the skill to produce everything ...
Very talented young man and beautiful country.
Could we send road engineers to Sweden to learn how to build roads like those. That guy is a true craftsman.
The roads in USA ARE FALLING APART.. strange how Sweeden is so cold but there seems to be no cracks or pot holes in the roads on this video??
Hey Mr Leno look what Dennis found you need some of those
nice
Inline sixes sound the best.
Luv and Peace.
Good job Magnus....!!

I can understand the fire extinguisher in the Abarth. I've seen more Fiats burn. Just sayin'.
Beautiful...but not the real thing!
its not meant to be the Real thing - but to be Creative !!! u see the difference ?
