The best secret boss in my opinion atmosphere-wise. Creepy hooded man with abilities that are a lot more serious-looking than anything else in KH1. His eerie silence, cryptic messages, and the sinister music all combined to make a memorable fight. Xemnas will forever be the best Organization member for me.

I didnt realize that all the dialogue that flashes on the screen was from the entire KH1 story. But it also let’s me know that the Organization was watching Sora from the beginning.

@@Sunkhrist Speak of friendship, that “My friends are my power” line still bother me to this date, originally it is “The hearts that connect together are my power” in Japanese, but localization turn it to very cheesy line and cut “hearts” which is important word for this series off on the top of that.
I dunno, I think that the sectioned off health bar gives you an illusion of doing more progress since each hit takes off chunks of the multiple bars. One big one will instead make you annoyed at how long it takes and how much health the boss has.
Everybody are commenting about the whole gameplay and KHI experience while I am here enjoying the beauty of Radiant Garden that we could’ve had in KH3💔

This is cool, bug dang verything about this feels so uncanny and cursed compared to the original fight. The attacks, the size of the battle field, the graphics, and like again the size of the field and like camera angle.
This is a gorgeous recreation but it could be even better if you could use og KH1 Sora's moveset too as well as skills. There's a cool KH1 Sora mod that even gives Sora his classic abilities like Strike Raid as well as Sonic Blade and Sliding Dash. In addition, you could also avoid using Airstep and Shotlock as Sora didn't have those either
Ngl, the in game cutscene graphics of KH1 look better than the gameplay graphics of KH3, also the CGI cutscenes of KH1 and KH2 look better than any cutscene in KH3.
@@viruschris3160 yeah they f*cked something up in the process, they probably copied the modernized style of Tetsuya Nomura's character design, a change I'm not a fan off. I've been to an art school and feel completely confident in saying that I don't like the softer lines and weaker colors of his new artwork that is universal across all modern cartoon/anime type of art styles. Now I can't say that something like art is objectively worse, that's not how it works, but I and many don't appreciate the change.

It helps with the bright colors of the character models and the world they visit where worlds like Timeless River and Pirates had their own visual style that works. And working with the characters around that to make it look amazing. While the regular worlds still kept that bright and lively style that works well for the series to keep that Disney and Anime style they had for it. Now when I look at the KH3 models... they look off and lifeless with the dampened colors. Doesn't help when I look at Donald, Goofy, and especially Mickey they have this "clay-like" appearance and it's so off-putting. When I look back to the KH1 and 2 designs, it works so well especially their eyes. The bright and vivid colors pop and looks natural for them, but with the KH3 ones it looks jarring to me at least. Everyone says the worlds in KH3 are the best and while I'll agree with the added details does add more to the world. However, at the same time it feels empty for me with how BIG the worlds are. I get it to make the worlds feel bigger, but I prefer the tight and narrow areas in the past areas as I can quickly get to point A to B faster and felt like it served its purpose and made checking out each area fun. 3, I didn't like how big the world were as looking for every chest felt like a chore. A shame as the designs of the world are impressive, but it dragged on for me. Also, I LOVE Flowmotion in DDD especially how you can keep it going and doing so many tricks with it that I always did for fun. KH3 nerfed Flowmotion so much and the large worlds make it harder to perform certain Flowmotions I like and limited how many times it did. Especially when I look at this mod for the KH1 Enigma Figure boss fight... it feels and looks underwhelming. I remember how kinetic and chaotic it was in 1 with the old battle system and the small area helped making it tense and lively. Here... I'm not feeling. When you show the old style before the fight, you can see how vivid the characters are. Even the Black Coat itself feels like a character with how it has volume to it instead of KH3's weird rubber-like appearance for them and looks... umm I'm not sure about the word... too slimming? The designs in KH3 felt more for a realistic and Final Fantasy type of game or High Fantasy. The KH series has a bright cartoonish flair to it with some anime aesthetic... so when I saw the final product, I felt like the charms of the characters were lost. The old paint brush design in the teaser trailer would've worked much better and it sucks they couldn't get that to work. Now, that is to say Unreal Engine isn't a bad engine and can be used to make so stunning things. But, I feel like it wasn't used properly for KH3 and why the models come off as clay-like for me. I don't mind KH3, there are some things I liked. Especially their designs in the Pirate world in 3 I felt like it was perfect as the character models didn't look lifeless and Goofy and Donald looked so much better vivid. But, that's just me. To my eyes KH3 was kinda an "ugly" looking game.
@@viruschris3160 No need to justify yourself to me, art school doesn't give people eyes, you have the right to use your eyeballs and ascertain art yourself, just because you didn't go to art school doesn't mean that you can't judge, school will only make you better at noticing details when it comes to judging art. But the main focus of art school is for you to practice your craft, not to look at it. And I can see from the length of your response that you had a lot to say. I don't really mind KH2's art style compared to KH3, but my favorite art style will always be KH1 and that might be because it's my favorite game, but from the art work to the game, that is also my favorite visual piece of work in the franchise. And a lot more goes into that appreciation than just the art style and the character models. An important difference is how the camera works between KH1 and KH2, in KH1 things around you feel bigger, closer to you, more compact and that makes the level/world design better IMHO, one of the only areas where KH2 is worse than KH3 is the level design, but KH1 is top notch in that regard from dark an gloomy Halloween Town to bright and cheery Destiny Islands. A perfect "final" world in Hollow Bastion and the gradual descent into the God themes of FF games in the End of the World world, which I guess is the actual final world. KH1 feels more like a presentation mix between Disney and anime FF, KH2 feels more like just anime FF and it took me a long time to appreciate the art style of the game since I didn't notice it on the PS2 version, but the HD PS4 version really makes the game pop. KH3 has definitely issues with how the characters look due to the engine, I think UE4 can be partially blamed for the lackluster visuals of KH3's characters including the inexperience of the staff with the engine, I actually think Sora and company looked better when the game was still developed on the Luminous Engine and btw the reveal trailer Sora is what the CGI cutscenes SHOULD have looked like, that reveal trailer was so beautiful, unfortunately the actual game disappoints here. Not only because of the presentation, but I also didn't like any of the character redesigns of this game - especially Sora and that's because I don't like plaid on clothes, like what is he ? A lumberjack ? As for Riku, I was never really a fan of short haired Riku, I actually think KH2 Riku is the best version of him minus the outfit, why did they have to show his belly button ? Not a fan of short haired Kairi either and short haired characters can work, it just doesn't work for Riku and Kairi, leave that style for Xion and Aqua. I'll finish my reply in my 2nd comment so that this comment isn't too long and since you transitioned more into game design in the 2nd half of your reply.
Can you imagine if they thought about putting DLC's in Kingdom Hearts 3 where you can fight their original battles like this and I don't just mean kinda martyr's one you can use sword to fight all the battles from secret battles from all the Kingdom Hearts
This is cool, but KH1 Sora wasn't this strong and experienced with a keyblade yet so it's weird to see him so powerful and moving around like he's a master.
