Oh my, fella, would love to send you my bike! It's a Huffy I've had since 1991 that my dad got me for Christmas. I didn't always love it because it has pink in it and girl bar, haha ;) I kept it as an adult and I'd have company and they'd say it was tiny for a 10-speed. I eventually saw it next to a normal size 10 speed and I finally fell in love with it realizing the care my dad took to make sure it was size appropriate (I'm 4'9"). It's deteriorated a lot, but I'm determined to get it back road ready. I've been taking a career break since I lost this amazing man, but when I'm back up and running, you'll hear from me. I'm overwhelmed looking for someone here in Austin. As always, fantastic work!
very nice 👍 - I have the base EVO frame and would like to replace the brakes. It looks really smooth and easy in your video to push through the backside brake cable. Is it really like this or are there some hurdles on the way to the exit on the top of the frame 🦴🛠 ? Thanks!
you should add some from & rear 3/4 shots so you can see the color-matching hubs & the frame at the same time. Can't see any of that stuff from the side
I probably wouldn't spend the money for a Reverb dropper. Instead, I would upgrade to the XX AXS groupset. Other than that, this is the build I would build for myself.
I just rebuild a bike that cost 15$. Smooth bearings 6061 alu giant with maxis tires. My total spend was 15$. For 15 i have a functioning mtb with a chain that does not rust
Dream bike! Thanks for motivation. I’m 17 years old from poor family and I dream about mountain bike like this. It awesome! Hello from Ukraine
Hi,from an african rich family prospective i do say i hope you one day you buy one for you and gope all success in your career and future
You’re a true pro to cut the steerer tube without a saw guide.
Beautiful bike, the only thing surprising about is it is the use of flats for a XC bike vs clipless but I guess that's a rider preference thing LOL.
I was literally coming here to say the same exact thing... Owner must like spending money, but not actually ride fast...
and that massive stem - i think the owner isn't in cross country
Also the the saddle is probably not for cross country and rotors are huge
The saddle is a titanium XC saddle. The stem is incredibly light and is also for XC. The rotors are correct for the fork and frame.

I'd be honored to restore it in your father's memory!
@@BuildaBetterBike Excellent, I'll be in touch for more info :)
Love the XC builds so much! 🥵🔥
Did you need 3mm and a 7.5mm spacer on the bottom bracket to support the MTB wide chainline?
I have that same bike just the base model it absolutely shreds.
Pure beauty. Lucky guy who got this bike 🥸
Haha. Very lucky. ;)
i congratulate you on getting the job of dreams
beautiful work 💚 i have a sudden urge to braid the rim
What’s the weight do we know?
I plan on to buy exact that frame😮 but your spec is just dreamy
Nice!
That red sleeve that goes into the rear drop out, is it threaded so that the rear axle can purchase onto it?

No torque wrench was harmed in the making of this video /joking 😅😅😅
Mě zase zaujala nakřivo uříznutá vidlice 😂
Hi, could you tell me what Specialized state the colour to be on the frame?
Beautiful build! ❤
Hi!!! Beautiful work!! I have a question… the cranksets for epic are Q factor 168 or 174??
And the chainring is 0 offset or 3 offset?? Thanks!!
I run the XTR 9120 on my epic evo if that helps you find numbers for the right sram crankset. I believe they're Q factor 168.
🔥🔥🔥
Sorry bro, was that green fluid a dot? For breaks
Yup. That's Finish Line DOT fluid.
Was ist es Bitte für eine Sram Schaltung?
It's versión pretty❤🚲
What is the name of the song that plays at minute 4.33?
Thanks for the reminder to source the music. I've added the songs in order they are played in the description.
@@BuildaBetterBike thank you😊
But why flat pedals?
For funsies
@@BuildaBetterBike Everything is better when it is done for funsies.
Nice build, but in case you can't hear it there's a high pitched squeal on a lot of segments in this video that made it really hard to watch.
Interesting why the client didn’t choose to have matching control pods for the dropper.
Beautiful ❤️❤️
How much is the total cost?
This is over $11,000 retail. But I have this guy quite the deal so I could make the video. :)
Flat pedals on an XC😭😭😭😭😭
Tops
The build is a beaut. If you were building this bike for yourself, what would you change?
I probably wouldn't spend the money for a Reverb dropper. Instead, I would upgrade to the XX AXS groupset. Other than that, this is the build I would build for myself.
@@BuildaBetterBike Thanks for the feedback! I love watching dream build types of videos, and am always curious as to the builders personal preference.
Great build, but that seat angle...🤢
It should be a crime for videos like this to not show the weight
Flat pedals nooooo my eyes are burniiiiing WHYYYYY? 😵💫
cool build, why dream build? because there is no money to collect such a bike)
Exactly
@@BuildaBetterBike nice)

How can you not give a weight and size…waist of time!
I weigh 210 and am 5'11"
dude learn to ride clipless pedals. what a waste... nice build but damn....
Funny. I do ride clipless. So did the person I built it for. Just put those on for fun
