Insane adaptation
Naahhh bro, sorry I'm now absolutely convinced that Bayo is a pretty bad matchup for GnW. Like people on twitter have been severely downplaying Miya's achievements by the pretense that GnW is top tier. Meanwhile 1 year+ has passed and not a single player has ever matched his performance with the character, don't even get me started on how much Maister failed to do so. Dying at 70-75% by a staple combo and 110% from a jab spam that has a very far reach is simply inexcusable. It absolutely makes up for the advantages that GnW has. Ain't nobody playing this character as perfect as Miya, and nobody will make it this far if they aren't gonna play the character with almost perfect accuracy. Great win by Miya and here's to more Ws to come.
Obviously yeah. Gnw is far from op. Miya is just an absolute god tier player. Might be the best in the world skill wise, top3 minimum.
Maister has been doing great this season though.
His delta was kinda rough. But he got top 12 at most of the other events he went to. He'll, Monte from SoCal has been putting in mad work too
@@RayBcv1030 I mean, the top 12 results you're referring to is a world of difference though. Sure, in normal standards they're probably really established and outstanding results. But at this point, it only takes me to say that Miya has pretty much nearly figured out how to beat acola in a 50/50 margin(well not fully, but you get my point from his recent results) to tell you just how far apart both of the former are to Miya. Aside from that, but he's already gotten first place at 2 supermajors and 4 majors in the first 1/3 of the year 😭😭. Thats why i said their results were basically nothing in comparison to the heights where Miya stands at right now.
Don't forget, Maister was getting 2nd place constantly during Leo's reign. His only gatekeeper was the undisputed best player back when nobody was in the same league.
Character tier and representation aren't the same thing. It's no pretense that GnW is top 10. He still has bad MUs and even MUs like every other character though. So it's not like he can just tier gap any character outside the top 10.
@@nathanlevesque7812 Thats quite contradictory, if he really had bad MUs outside of the top 10, that would have absolutely weighed in on where he places then. Because that immediately highlights the character's weakness as well as requirements needed to pilot it at the best possible way in the very moment of a tournament. So representation should 100% have an effect on tier. Afterall, how are we gonna have a good understanding of a character's limits without their best player actually labbing and proving stuff about their character on site?
and when it comes to maister being the second best back then, well its hard to say whether that was true or whether we were just in a giant echo chamber, giving opportunities to a group of players, not seeing the wider world as a whole. Because man! scaling his achievements from before to now is a pretty damn hard drop. And that was before JP players like Miya and Acola got enough flights overseas to train(waiting for Hurt and TamaP to break out soon). Leo has downgraded along with some of his peers like tweek, but he'll still upset people from time to time, like how he did with sparg0 recently. Maister on the other hand... I'm not so sure man.
