    I'm considering getting these because first of all they're cool and second my 4" scale predator figures will kick their butts.

    I'm pretty sure the m1 Garand didn't have an exposed magazine like that, looks more like a late model German rifle.

      The figures are quite nice but something is very wrong with those weapons. Was planning to buy them for my nephew but I won’t: except for the M3 « grease gun », bazooka and pistol, there is something wrong with the other weapons: none of them were used by the US Army.The rifle looks like a mix between a Mauser K98 and a gewehr 43, the machine gun looks like a Bren which was British and the second submachine gun is definitely not a Thompson: more some kind of mix (at first I thought it was an M42, but it would have a pistol grip) Historical accuracy does matter, even for toys. If you label something “WWII US Army”, you need to get things rights and the content of that box should be what is described.

      Agreed, these WW2 figures would be so cool at 6". Unfortunately I emailed Joy Toy and they said they have no plans for 1/12

    Ben, thanks for reviewing something different, then not anyone else's reviewing.
    Also I wasn't clear from the review if the wrists and ankles are on ball joints?

    I bought one joytoy figure and hated it so much that I wrote the entire line off. The way it was design it was impossible to pose without popping off a couple of packs. Then the legs couldn't be posed very far. The arms were a bad joke. Looks like I might have just bought a bad one and at least some are made better. Might buy another but not double checking reviews and picks. In hindsight all the problems I mention were stated by other people. However, in my defense it had mostly positive reviews that didn't state any of the bad stuff.

    I want Joy Toy to finish out the rest of the WW2 factions like British, USSR, Japanese (and USMC to fight them). These give Marauder a run for their money
    How is the durability of these? Some people have said Joy Toy can be flimsy

    • @marktroddyn3351
      @marktroddyn3351 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have these and the Gunrunners figures. These are way more articulated. I wouldn't say they are flimsy, but you need to heat them in water before attempting to position the joints. The scale is slightly different with these being somewhat smaller. I still have to say I love Gunrunners and hope both companies continue to produce WW2 figures.

      @@MichalKaczorowski I ended up buying every available WW2 set from Joy Toy. I am pretty impressed! The articulation and paint is very good. The only downsides are: the hands are not rigid or deep enough to get a strong grip on their weapons and the weapon choices are a bit strange sometimes, mostly for this US Army set.
