Asa. This video saved me! I was trying for a week and a half to register. Your information was the only one that was very clear that it doesn’t work until you get to Saudia airport. My question is where do I put my vaccine history before entering Saudia

So for the vaccine info, you’ll want to upload/add it to Muqeem portal. This is only accessible 48-72 hours before your flight departs. Once added, upon registering for Tawakkalna your vaccine info from Muqeem will transfer to Tawakkalna automatically. The link should be in the description. I hope this helps :)

Yes brother, you will need 2 sims and 2 phones with you, as each visa needs a unique saudi phone number to register on Tawakkalna and Eatmarna.

May Allah bless you for all the assistance you are providing through your videos. I had one question for you as well. I just wanted to verify that I am not missing any steps to enter Saudi. I am fully vaccinated (2 doses) and will be applying for an evisa. I will also take a PCR test prior to entering Saudi, and completing registration on Muqeem 72 hours prior to my flight. After entering the Jeddah airport, all I have to do to be set for umrah is setting up the Tawakkalna and Eatmarna apps, right? Am I missing any steps? Again, thank you so much for your videos. I hope you have some time to respond to my message.

Great question - so as long as you register on Muqeem and get PCR test done 72 hours before flight, all that would need to be done at the airport is buying a Saudi SIM and registering on Tawakkalna first with that new number.
Then you can register on Eatmarna and should be able to get an Umrah slot same day (depends what time you arrive and register etc) - there’s a daily limit of 100k pilgrims daily.
So it looks like InshaAllah you should be all set. May Allah accept your intentions and Umrah InshaAllah. Kindly keep me in prayers JazakAllah

So children can register on Tawakkalna as long as they are above 12 years of age.
You will need to get sims for everyone in order to register for each. SIM cards can be bought at any Saudi Airport after immigration. It’s near the arrivals/departures area you will see different booths and stations for phone companies like STC, Mobily, Zain etc.
Tawakkalna is checked to enter Masjid Nabawi, Masjid Al Haram, most public areas and to enter airports.

I was planning to use international data roaming, however I have now learned that I’ll need a Saudi number… Can I just use one Saudi number to verify multiple Tawakkalna app registrations?

Unfortunately, you need a unique number for each Tawakkalna account - as it will be linked to each profile. So you would need a saudi number for each account. I hope this helps!

Yes definitely! Registering in Tawakkalna and Eatmarna takes roughly 10 mins total and depending on what time you arrive in Jeddah you should be able to get Umrah permit same day. I recommend getting an early flight that reaches Jeddah early in the day to make sure you get that slot. Because if it’s a very late flight (e.g. 10pm, you may have to get an Umrah slot very early in the morning instead).
Your video is quite helpful nut the background recitation is quite loud, it's volume should be much lower than your voice.

Jazakallah kheir..very useful. I’ve have noticed that when you book an umrah permit it ask s you to pick a meeting point which is outside the Haram area. If you are staying in a hotel in the immediate vicinity (e.g clock tower) do you still have to go to the meeting point or can you go direct from your hotel?
JazakAllah for the feedback 🙂 so that is not mandatory, it’s only if you’re driving and have a car to park. If you are staying in Haram vicinity, just simply go to main Haram gates (usually King Fahd gate) and show the permit to enter.

So there are tour buses in Madinah that you can buy tickets for or also go with a group. However, most do require a Mahram (especially taxi). What may be a better option is to rent a car from Madinah airport and you can drive to those places. Google maps works perfect so you can navigate with ease Alhamdulilah

Salam my brother and JazakAllah for the feedback :) Yes, that's actually what I did - I got a low cost Android phone, used that as my Saudi number and installed Tawakkalna and Eatmarna on my iPhone. You just need the Saudi SIM to verify you have a Saudi Number so you don't have to use that same phone, and then after that you don't really need it at all. I hope this helps!
Good video. I landed today in Saudi Arabia from Canada for Umrah. After getting the local SIM, I had some issues with registration on Tawakalna. Somehow, I got registered but my vaccination status showed up as purple, which means that I have to quarantine, which was a surprise for me. After couple of hours, when I tried logging into the app. again, I couldn't sign in. I called the support and was being told that the app. might not work on unlocked phones (they use the term jailbreak here) which was indeed the case with my phone. Regardless, I was told to instead use the web version. I was able to sign in to the web version and my status I showing up as green which is what I expected. However, I don't seem to see my picture (app.version has your picture) on the web version so I'm hoping this wouldn't be a problem. On top of that, I can't sign into Eatmarna now even though I was able to register for the app. after registering at Tawakalna. Unfortunately, Eatmarna doesn't have the same support as Tawakalna and it doesn't have a website where you can go and book your spot. I'm hoping to get the issue resolved tomorrow Insh'Allah. Just a cautionary note to those who are planning to visit soon from abroad as the process is not very smooth unfortunately. Both apps. seem to have issues so it's better to be prepared.

Also did you register on Muqeem portal before your flight? I know Eatmarna app doesn’t have the best support but I found their twitter to be pretty decent and they’re pretty quick at responding. I hope the issues were resolved brother.
@@harisdhedhi w'salam. Yes, I was able to book a spot on Eatmarna AH. Had to call Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. They told me to change the password and it eventually worked. I also uninstalled the VPN just to be on the safe side even though I haven't been using it since landing in Saudi Arabia. Also got Tawakkalna app. eventually working but now it's giving me issues again. Eatmarna on the other hand has been working fine though. I would just take screenshots of the permit just to be safe in case the app. crashes again.

What's the purpose of having two separate apps, couldn't they have included the permits on Tawakalna only? And why give options of other international numbers when it can only work with Saudi Sims, and be activated in Saudi only. It's overly complicated but thanks for your video which is very helpful.

Yes as long as they are older than 12, they can come with you and will need a permit (the Saudi police/army is pretty tight at most checkpoints so it’s best to play safe even though some nicer guards do let multiple people go with just one permit). So it’s best that you get them a SIM card too. I recommend going with either Saudi Telecom (STC) or Mobily and get the basic package (it’s about 60-70 SAR), so it’s not too pricey and gets the job done.

Salam brother! JazakAllah for the question - yes you can book covid test with Tawakkalna directly in Makkah and Madinah along with other cities. It’s free and very quick, you can test same day.
For Makkah, yes you need permit for each prayer. For Madinah, you don’t need permit - just need to show Tawakkalna to enter Masjid boundaries.

Make sure you get the "green" approval before getting in Saudi. We have been in Jeddah for a week and it has been very dissapointing ..we had 2 PCR tests, We uploaded vaccines and we still are not approved. We have sent many emails to Ministry of health without any results. Many phone calls and no one can help.
You cannot go to restaurants, to supermarket, and many tourist places. If had not been for a friend, we would have left Jeddah.

Salam, do we need to have the booster shot in order to perform umrah? I got my second dose of the COVID shot in December and can’t get my booster shot till June 2022. I have my ticket booked to do umrah in March.

Salam brother, do you have the booster shot? Also KSA announced that you do not need to show as Immune anymore for permits, you should be good to go InshaAllah. Try requesting permit now on Eatmarna and let me know thanks

Walaikumsalam brother, it is not compulsory after you’ve performed Umrah as long as you don’t leave Meeqat boundaries (Masjid Ayesha in Makkah). Anytime you leave Meeqat boundaries you must be in state of Ihram to return to Masjid Al Haram. I hope this helps!

Great question - yes, on the visa application do select Umrah and Travel (they will ask you purpose of visit for the visa). The tourist visa allows you to perform Umrah and Hajj without issues. And yes, since Tawakkalna and Eatmarna can only be registered once you are in Saudi it would be best to mention this.

WSalam brother and thanks for the feedback 🙂 so good news regarding that, In Masjid Nabawi you can pray there 5 times a day as no permit is needed - just need to show Tawakkalna at the gates to enter. You can’t pray in Riaz Ul Jannah but you can pray within the masjid (including the area a couple of rows behind Rawdah Mubarak).
In Masjid Al Haram, you can also pray multiple times now. I wish I could post a screenshot to show I have 3 prayer permits for tomorrow Fajr, Dhuhr and Asr. Before you could only pray once a day but now they’ve given even more flexibility. Just make sure to create the permits for all the prayers you want to do in Masjid Al Haram and you should be good to go.

Salaam. There has been reports (rumours, rather) that umrah pilgrims on tourist visa (as opposed to umrah visa) face difficulties in getting their preferred slots for umrah, prayers at the 2 harams and raudhah and ziarah. The message out there is that there is a kind of 'preferential treatment' in favour of pilgrims on umrah visa. I do not see the logic in this and would like to know if you have any views or relevant experience related to these reports? Appreciate your response. Jazakallah Khair.
WSalam brother. I can assure you those rumors are false. Umrah slots on Eatmarna are available for all time frames and days for myself (I have a Tourist Visa) and I can choose any slot. Same goes with prayer slots and Ziyarah slots. It’s an autonomous process so there definitely isn’t preferential treatment. That being said, there are people who get time slots via their travel agents if they choose to purchase Umrah packages and those time slots are a little more lenient due to the nature of the package (e.g. unexpected delays). But other than that, there is no difference. What’s better with the Tourist visa is that you are also not limited to Makkah and Madina and you can travel to other areas of Saudi Arabia for Ziyarah or even just tourism.
I have a feeling travel agencies are behind these rumors since the tourist visa is hurting their businesses but without a doubt there is no issue. I’ve travelled to Saudi using both visas and this tourist visa actually makes it even easier at the airports.

It is possible it won’t work because I have Verizon and it did not. The good thing is that the saudi sim only costs about $20 and they can install it for you (I recommend STC)

Walaikumsalam brother, it’s better to register beforehand. I think you can get a temporary visa at the airport but it will take a long time to get it and it’s not certain. Best to prep beforehand to avoid any potential hassles.

JazakAllah khair 🙂 not at the moment, unfortunately only Umrah pilgrims can do Tawaf in Mataf area and not really possible to do Tawaf in second floor as they have blocked many passages. InshaAllah soon I hear they will open for all pilgrims again, possibly December or early January

Salam brother! Yes you will need a total of 4 SIM cards. The lowest cost SIM is about 50 SAR, which is about $12-15 each.

So you will definitely need a saudi sim to register on Tawakkalna and Eatmarna. But good news is, once you’ve registered you can remove saudi sim and put back your American SIM and it will still work. You will still be able to use Tawakkalna and Eatmarna (Saudi number is just needed for verifying in Tawakkalna and Eatmarna). I hope this helps :)
Peace be upon you. Can I ask a question: Ilive in Finland and I got the tourist visa for Umrah. Do I need to have health insurance in Finland, or is the insurance that I applied for with the Saudi visa suffices?

WSalam my brother! So unfortunately at the current time, children 12 and under cannot enter Haram and perform Umrah. That means they will need to stay in hotel room with guardian or they can be outside of Haram in the waiting areas

Unfortunately not, brother. You can however use a cheaper phone and put the saudi sim into that phone to get the verification text.
Or you can just put the sim into your own phone (make sure it’s unlocked - some carriers such as Verizon lock their phones so it’s tough if you try to put in another sim it won’t work - which in that case you would have to use a second phone -> I would just use a cheap android), get the verification text and register on both apps then remove the saudi sim and put back your US sim. You only need the saudi number initially to register on both apps and don’t need it afterwards. So I would recommend go with the cheapest SIM card option that has SMS enabled.

Yes with ease, all airports in saudi have stores for SIMs such as Mobily, STC, Zain etc. it’s very easy shouldn’t take more than 5 mins. You’ll need your passport and Evisa to buy a SIM (they can also check with fingerprints).

Thank you for sharing this video with us. I’m going with my parents to do umrah after a few days In Shaa Allah. But the thing is, the apps cannot be downloaded on their phones. It requires iOS 13 for the apps to be downloaded and their phones’ softwares cannot be upgraded after 12.5. So, can we register from one phone and then add them as companions in the app? Or will we have to buy new phones for this now? Do we actually require to have separate phones? I’d be really grateful if you could answer my questions.

As for the companions things I can't answer you.
But you could use your phone to generate Umrah pass and then send it to them through AirDrop or Mail, they can show the screenshot, it should be sufficient as long as you can log in the application if needed.
You don't have an old android phone or tablet than can suit them ?

Great question! My advice would be to first try registering them as companions - InshaAllah it should work unless requirements change. Worst case would be to purchase a low cost Android phone from any Mobile service provider (let them know you want it for Tawakkalna and Eatmarna) and use those for your parents.
It is required to have separate phones to register each persons I do know of one other way that would involve using one phone, registering on Tawakkalna and Eatmarna and then screen record or screenshot the permit, logout of both apps and insert a new SIM in the same phone, redo the process. Those screenshots can be sent or printed (ideally) to your parents phones so they have it and just make sure to show the phone that does have Eatmarna installed to the security officers who check the permits and you should be okay InshaAllah.

So, what you’re saying is, as long as we can show them the permits from our separate phones that should suffice? Would we need to show them the permits from the app?

Will the officers physically check my phone for the permit by logging in? Things are so strict these days, they should at least allow us to get the permits from one phone. Not everyone has up-to-date phones these days. My father did buy a cheap samsung a few days back but the tawakkalna app couldn’t be downloaded on that.
I’ll try to add them as companions but if it doesn’t work then I think we’ll have to change the sims and try it that way. Hopefully, they’ll allow us to perform umrah. Thank you, again, for giving us this valuable advice.

WSalam Ilyas, thanks bro! Yes you will need a Saudi sim to get a saudi number as you can only use a saudi number to register on the apps. A VPN won’t work unfortunately- you can only register once you’re in Saudi

WSalam my brother, my pleasure! So Tawakkalna’s main point is for showing that you are immune and have the covid vaccine. So you can think of Tawakkalna as everything covid related, including getting covid testing done right from the app. Many places ask that you show the homepage of Tawakkalna to enter so this is where it comes useful.
Eatmarna is specifically for religious permits for Masjid Al Haram and Masjid An Nabawi, specially permits for Umrah, prayer, Ziyarah, and entrance to Rawdah. That being said, you can’t register for Eatmarna only; meaning you must be registered on Tawakkalna in order to register on Eatmarna.

Salam bhai, You can link Tawakkalna to a saudi number - I don’t think they really have any sort of way to login through email. Are you trying to recover the account or just sign up?
Are you saying if you have US telephone number and you are in Madinah, it is not going to work?

My pleasure! So you can go anytime within that time frame, so say you get late and arrive at 0530, you can still enter since your permit is active. Once the permit expires, it goes to the ‘expired’ tab and then you can’t use it

WSalam! Yes you can use a Saudi sim in your iPhone. Just make sure it isn’t GSM locked (Verizon phones usually are). If that’s the case, still try because the SIM might work (I think Saudi Telecom (STC) sims still work regardless). Worst case, you can buy a cheap Android phone and use sim on that.

WSalam, hope all is well! You can perform multiple Umrahs now, Alhamdulilah. Just try getting a permit the next day and you should be good to go.
And yes, you can stay in Haram vicinity without Umrah permit, you can also attend daily Salah and perform Tawaf now as well with permits.

So currently, Eatmarna and Tawakkalna is only really needed for Umrah and Prayer in Noble Rawdah. So everyone above 12 needs their own account, so the best choice would be to purchase a SIM and a low cost android phone in Saudia and that should do the trick. I hope this helps 🙂

Last week I took a permit for my wife (she is on a visitor visa) to visit the Prophet SA, but unfortunately I could not go to Madinah. This week I am going to visit Nabi SA, but I am not getting a new permit because it shows that the permit has already been passed and we have to wait for a month for the new permit. Please advise how I can get a new permit

Salam brother Gabriel, great question. You don’t need Absher, you can register without that. You’ll need your passport number to register.

Asalamualaikum! Yes Tawakkalna is still used, but vaccine status doesn't really matter anymore so you don't necessarily need to show Tawakkalna everywhere anymore but definitely register on it and keep it updated.

So adding the companion will most likely not work - some people have had luck but most have not. It’s best to make her individual account as well on Tawakkalna and Eatmarna meaning you will need 2 SIM cards once you land in Saudi. Absher is only for Saudis are you mentioned so that won’t work unfortunately.
You can buy the cheapest SIM card directly at any saudi airport after immigration. It’s roughly about 50-60 Riyals. And you honestly only need the sim once to verify your saudi number on both apps and after that you can switch back to your American sim (if your cell phone company allows international roaming)
Salam brother, I have a quick question. I noticed when booking Umrah and 5 daily namaz for Masjid al-Haram, you have to select a meeting point and 'buy transportation services'.
Do you have to buy the transportation services? And do you need to go the meeting point? Can I just go the gate it tells us to go and show my permit there?
Wsalam, great question! So you don’t need to buy transport services or go to the meeting spot unless you are driving and need to park your vehicle. If you’re staying in Haram vicinity, simply show permit to guards at the main gate of Masjid Al Haram and they will let you in.

Assalamu Alaykum. I have a question regarding the muqeem registration. I completed the registration twice and I get two different registration numbers. Also, I completed this registration 5 days prior to my arrival in Saudi which is December 8. I read after that the registration should be maximum 72 hours prior to arrival. Does that mean I have to resubmit it on the 5th which will be 72 hours?

Walaikumsalam brother Towhid! Yes that is correct, though it seems to fluctuate daily. Last I heard it was children 7 years and older so that’s a safe age to assume. Also no vaccine needed any longer as long as you are going with a Tourist visa. I hope this helps 🙂

WSalam bro, MashaAllah! So you honestly just need a Saudi number for the initial set up for Tawakkalna and Eatmarna (basically for the verification text to a Saudi number). So technically you can buy a Saudi SIM, register on both apps and then remove the SIM and use your own carrier. The app works fine (it's actually what I ended up doing).

So unfortunately only 1 sim per person can be used 😔 but you can get SIMs at all Saudi airports which is nice. So it’s very easy to get it, you’ll just need your visa and passport with you

Salam, the vaccine card info will go to Muqeem Portal which needs to be filled out 72 hours before your flight. Then the info transfers to Tawakkalna automatically
