I’m the first to comment, I enjoyed this video cause I’m interested in Bonnie and Clyde. I have seen a couple of different movies about Bonnie & Clyde and saw some videos about Bonnie & Clyde. I love about true stories that really happened. Actually I’m into history. I really enjoyed the story that you told plus I didn’t know about that Raymond dude so that was new to me. Wonderful story Mark.

There's a pretty good article about Bonnie and Clyde and Dexter Iowa here's one from Roadside America mag. The Dexter newspaper archives have several more.

Back in 1985 or 86 I believe it was I worked my first ever job in that building. It was a Mr Jim’s pizza
We used the vault for dry food storage
And when we were cleaning the place up prior to opening we found old bank paperwork on top of the vault dating to the early 1900’s
Now I know you said no shots were fired but there was what we were told and saw, what appeared to be bullet holes in the wall opposite of the side the vault is on.

Thanks for sharing this. I lived in Dallas for years and visited Cedar Hill often. Never knew of this bank robbery. Loved Babes, Sam's Pizza and Houston Street Outfitters, though. Didn't you the building you pointed out was once a blacksmith place. Could've been a dance hall.

My ex-wife kids and I used to live at 116 N Broad St., just a short walk from the bank. A quick glance at Google Maps tells me that Cedar Hill was much, much smaller then. There was a really good family restaurant [Amie's?] about three blocks away, and we lived right behind a bakery on Beltline. My kids loved getting all the goodies that didn't sell. The guy made awesome kolaches.
