A magnificent theme indeed. Just listening to it reminds of my days 10 years ago as a 5-year-old playing Mario Kart 64. My losses against my brother, my epic victories against my firends, all reflected in this song. This is a fitting end to MKWii: A game that cheated us out of a lot of races, but we still managed to pull through. You truly are a great composer. I think I speak for everyone when I say you should consider working for Nintendo. Keep up the great work, BowieZ. ^_^
THE best Fanfare song I've ever heard... I love the incorporation of Dry Bowser Waltz in there, and I can't wait to hear about this 'Yet-to-be-heard' theme at 2:28. ;)
I can't stop listening to this song, and now that I have gotten a new laptop with a better sound card than what my old laptop had it brings tears to my eyes even more.
Thanks so much Dr! (And you too, FoxMcC) Appreciate the specific comments and constructive criticism! :) And lol @ you not liking it to begin with. Glad I won you over in the end :p
omg that was so cool!! i hope you rly get a job with nintendo! come on everyone! lets cheer BowieZ to become a member of nintendo and make this awsome music for future games!! =D i know we can all do it!
This is truly amazing! I love how all this sounds! Your an amazing composer, and I liked how you put a piece of the MarioKart 64 ending song in it. Both this and the orie from the game sound good.
Yes she did nail that note and she nailed it in really good, I liked how she did 2 of the classic SNES stages from the first Mario Kart game, the Ghost Valley gave me the chills just listening to the song compared to the original. But they messed up with the GameCube by not going strong like they should have but I'm glad they bought it back on the Wii and I'm glad they did. I know alot of people are asking for a Mario Kart Wii sequel but I doubt they would do that. But hey who knows. :)
By the way, THIS song is what made me decide to invite you to be a part of Taosen Camp. It's absolutley beautiful, your best work yet. It makes me want to hear more of your Mario Kart Music ideas! You DO have more, right?
Thanks and yeah I used some chords from the original MK64 ending, although I didn't really realize it until I had already written it lol, but hey I thought it was more than appropriate and not just a copy =p
Well it's the other way round really: the "End Credits" theme (my fictitious main theme that I haven't made a title sequence out of yet) can be heard in "Rainbow Planet". It can also be heard in my "Finish First" fanfare. Good ear!
That would be a good thing for them to do but who knows? They might consider doing that. I also think that Pokemon was the only game for the Wii and DS that worked together at the same time, that's the only game I know of that has come to mind. Another console won't be out for a few years or so but we'll see what they come up with in the next few years.
That's true, I just wonder why they don't do music like this anymore in Mario games, I mean look at MarioKart64 there were alot of great songs where they actually put alot of effort into it, on the GameCube version, they had it going but to me most of it was alittle soft pitched for me to tell the tune, in the Wii they brought that back, but this is better. :)
Yes, sort of. It's my FAVORITE bit of Kart music EVER, so I wanted to incorporate it somehow and acknowledge it musically. However, I changed several things so that it wasn't an exact copy: the fourth chord is different, it goes up from the third instead of down; there's a whole "improvised" guitar solo over the top; and regardless, it's only a small part, as the chord progression then evolves several steps further, something that I wished the original had done. Thanks for listening!!! 8-)
Yep, Dry Bowser's Waltz and Rainbow Planet are musically related (for example, 0:27-0:34 of this Finale piece, which is actually Dry Bowser's theme, has the same up and down undulating characteristics of the RP melody)... but yes, I also directly reference the Finale Fanfare melody at the end of the Rainbow Planet song. XD I like it when people pick out the subtle things in my music! Thanks :p
Yeah, the GameCube in general was a bit weak musically for Mario, but I really think they've come back unbelievably strong on the Wii, with Super Paper Mario, Super Mario Galaxy and Mario Kart Wii. I gotta say Asuka Ohta NAILED that kart score. Brilliant, although not a big fan of her 'ending' themes (to this or to NSMB).
they could even have the next one on ds also so ds and wii could work together once again but im not pretty sure when wii and ds acted together (at the same time since pokemon battle frontier or w/e its called for the wii. and they could make another console but that wouldnt be for a long while.
this is amazing. i hope you are still alive to read this. this is a masterpiece. on scale with the actual soundtrack. absolutely beutiful.
9 years later - this is still one of my favorite pieces; not just from BowieZ, but in general. It's a shame that so many people have yet to hear it.

For me, I think the best part is from 3:14 to 4:00. I think you're very good doing variations

The first time I heard this song, I liked it so much I listened to it about a good 50 times till I remembered it by heart.
A true piece of my childhood, and history
This deserves to be in a museum
Thank you 🙏
Wonderful. I can't think of anything else to say other than I can't wait to hear more of your work in the future.
Awesome!!! Sounds like it would really be in the game!
I can hear Mario Kart 64's opening hidden in this.Well done.:)

This is just amazing!!!! Better than the real game !!!!
Cool! starting at 0:15 i heard Dry Castle! Dry Castle should be a real track!!!

You know, you should try this again, with the full ending (the ending after you beat the Mirror series)
Did anyone else notice the frill of ULTIMATE fame at 3:13?
amazing
This is really good! By the way, do I hear some "Rainbow Planet" in there?
i think it fits better than the original!
thx mate :D

Fanmade, yeah right your work for nintendo
Did you ever get around to using that "Scherzando" section? If so, where?
mario kary 9 posible ending song :D
My favorite part stats at 1:57
Do you mind if I E-mail this to nintendo and consider offering you a job for their music?
I hear your rainbow planet here
It sounds like you use Guitar Pro 5 to compose your music.
Nearly ten years later, and this song is a great one to listen to.
Am I the only one watching in 2017? cuz all these comments are from about 1-7 years ago.
Haha probably :p ... thanks mate
BowieZ haha, ok
Sorry, but I like the original better.. but nice work! :D
I don't like the "Mario theme" part at 3:13, but that's just me.
Great job though. 5/5
+1 to favorites
grand total = 2
Good themes, but I prefer the credits themes in the actual game
3:12 I mean.
This one isn't real. He made it up.
