I just got a 27" Cameo Kewpie so I am checking out even the older videos. It was a treat to see your collection. I have several sizes and will give them to my granddaughter (she's 18 now) when I go as she does love them. I love the 14" dolls because they squeak and they can wear Bitty Baby clothes.
I love all of them. Would really love to see the stuffed one from the 90's sometime. She sounds really cool. The composition one and the cameo in the green dress are probably my fave. Hope you mom and you and the rest of your family are staying safe and healthy. Love you guys. (:

Wow that was wonderful! As a teen I worked in a doll museum and so I saw lots of Kewpies, plus had my own childhood collection which were gifts I received as a child. I also have two bisque Kewpies which are signed O'Neil! I really adore them and. One of them was sold to me by the owner of the museum I used to work at for a great price. Now I just need to make the Kewpie a little sailor suit so that I can put him out on display! Really enjoyed your video, thanks!

I'm getting a Jeffco Kewpie soon! And I've already got one of those ones that the craft stores sold back when I was a kid. A lot of those, their legs didn't move, but this one's arms, legs, and head are jointed, and he squeaks too. Hmmm. I thought she is a Jeffco, but her face looks more like some of the others, more like the old ones, though she's totally a nineties doll.
OMG! What a great collection I have a few myself and I have to say that the bisque kewpies I've always been something of a Holy Grail in my opinion, in the collectors world. None of mine are super old... I could never afford to purchase any from back in the day but I do have a pair of scootles I think that's what they're called and apparently there kewpies cousins

Hey, loved your Kewpie collection. I love Kewpies. You should look up a hamburger place in Racine, WI called Kewpie’s. They have a big Kewpie collection in glass cases on one wall in the restaurant. A big variety of sizes and styles. Great food too! -Lisa

Great video! I just got into Kewpies and I'm exploring all the different models. I have a couple questions; are the Japanese models "Kewpie-fusion" considered genuine Kewpies? Are there any Kewpies that would be considered "knock offs"?
I don't know if I would consider any Kewpie a knock off, so to speak, just because they're usually pretty similar to the originals. I don't think I've seen the Kewpie Fusion figures you mention!
@@Kewpie83 Thankyou for responding, the Kewpie Fusions are basically little kewpies "fused" with other popular branded characters such as from Disney. They also made pens and soft phone charms. It was to advertise the Kewpie Mayonnaise. I dont know what company actually made them however.

Do you know what size is the biggest kewpie doll? I swear I saw one so big on auction, I think it was 32" or even 36" but at the time I didn't know much about them and also I forgot to bid.

I have a black kewpie doll that belonged to a woman who practiced black magic and witchcraft and she was murdered on her bed, she was old already and a friend of my mother in law, we found the doll cute so was brought home but after the first couple of days woke me up calling my name like singing and with a lil girl 's voice that's why I believe it was the doll

They're usually pretty easy to find on eBay at decent prices, so when you decide to pick one up, you should check there! :)
