    I cannot tell you how much I have enjoyed experiencing your loving family supporting each other and learning together throughout the areas you have been so far. I am not sure if you make a living from this channel, but you certainly have provided a wealth of experience to what a great family looks like to very many people. And I guess this (even though from a distance and voyeristically) has to add to the value of family life in general. So, Thank you!

    AH Yes Thailand. I was in Bangkok and Pattaya for a few weeks 10 years ago on a business junket. Rode Elephants, Walk Street, a few shows, a few "Blow my head off "Chili Dishes. Couldn't bring myself to eating street food. (a bit dodgey). What amazed me about Thailand was the smell (open Sewage), The Electricity Planning and CRAZY suicidal drivers. Didn't do the Feet eating Fish. Everything was really cheap. great haggling markets. Took in a Ladyboy Show. Well worth the visit. Beautiful countryside. Highly recommended. A real eye opener.

    You're right, Rachel: the elephants did not seem happy at all. And the elephant with the harmonica was heart-breaking: a noble creature reduced to a circus-like chimp (with apologies to my simian antecedents).
    On a lighter note -- it took me an age to figure out the ping-pong ball act, and I'm thought to have a filthy mind. Great video guys. Best regards. P.s.: Friends of mine on a Vietnam war movie shot on Phuket -- before it became a major tourist attraction -- started pronouncing the place phonetically. Island fever, I suppose....

    Ha! Rob is back yo his strange and unusual foods. I don't think I could mate. I see what you were saying about Kerry's Express. Must be quite wide spread there. So funny to see Ivan without much to say. It must have been early in the morning! Bit of an adventure for us. We were all ordered off our boats on Friday night because of a tsunami warning after an earthquake in the Loyalty Islands. Thankfully it didn't come to anything. Better safe than sorry.

    • @TheCruisingKiwis
      @TheCruisingKiwis  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We saw the tsunami warning then heard nothing so guessed all good. Yeah Ivan was quietly focused and, unusual as you say, non communicative. He'd had a rude wet awakening though we had warned him several times to repair the seal.

    @EltoV ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi Kiwi family,
    Thanks again for this great and somewhat hilarious episode. No offense to anyone featured in this video(including in the thumbnail) but I think some of the elephants might have escaped their perimeter… 😁
    I too feel sorry for the elephants, mixed feelings of how they are treated/raised. They have a big brain and could easily take revenge on their caretakers. There are a lot of cases where these animals just had enough of their ‘jobs’ and become somewhat aggressive towards humans.
    All jokes aside: There’s also a scene in this video that amazed me. In a very early video you posted, where your adventure started, Javelot was docked next to a yacht called Foxy Lady(sorry that I can’t find the n° of the episode). Coming across the scene of that “Kerry Express” motorbike also gave me chills…
    First in Cambodia and now in the place where they painted eyes on the bow…
    I don’t believe in supernatural things nor am I religious. I consider myself as agnostic.
    Though I do believe that Kerry is still watching out and taking care of his little brother and your beautiful family…
    I too had an experience what seemed more than a coincidence. My dad died suddenly of cancer at the age of 58. We sailed out to spread my dad’s ashes in the North Sea and when we came back we saw his business partner(with who he had build up a charter company) leaving the harbor on another boat. We all were flabbergasted and talked about it for days.
    More than 2 years later my brother and I surprised our mom taking her to a concert of Yann Tiersen(a musician and composer which my mom and dad both were fans of) as a birthday gift. Guess who was sitting in front of us… The same man, his partner. We had a chat after that concert and he told us that he spotted my dad’s yacht along the coast of Sweden during a motorcycle trip earlier that year.
    I do believe that certain family or friends never leave us behind, even when they are “gone”…
    Sorry for the long read, but I felt like sharing this story with you, like you are sharing your lives with us.
    Safe travels, fair winds and following seas…
    Much love,
    Hans

    We are just awesome around here, but through all of my work and travel I have not had time to sit somewhere in cell service and watch videos for quite awhile.
    Do you want a dog?
    Our Pit/lab mix, and registered red Heeler got together and now we have too many dogs…….with perhaps 2 going to homes soon.
    They are 4 months old, house trained, they also fetch and sit.
    They are like their parents, and absolutely fearless, ready to fight whatever comes, yet they are all very affectionate to people.
    There’s 6 pup’s……they hunt to bring me things, and if they know I want it they race each other. I am training them to hunt shed antlers from deer and elk.
    Let me know if you want one, and we’ll see about getting him to you, better yet, just get over close to the states and I will bring him to you!

    Pad thai is the bomb for less than 2 bucks or there abouts. I should have known Rob would like a loverly fried scorpian for din dins. (boom boom) The large fried spiders are also quite chickeny. Patong (and koh san road) is the epicenter of everyhting wild about thailand. Well not really thailand. Your boys really do get a very broad education. But hay, the foods good.

    It truly is quite a cultural difference from what some may call the "CIVILIZED WORLD" (LOL). Maybe your time in this culture might aid in the long process of healing for Rob and a full understanding of the horrors these people also went through by the hands of their own GOUVERNMENTS. The King's oldest daughter is quite intelligent and the King is acyually jealous of her. The people want her as the next ruler. That would be a sizable step up since the population, from what i have been able to gather is not liking their King all that much. Ttfn. Next, Rob will be calling himself ;;;;;; THE SCORPION KING hahahahahaahahahaaa sometimes i cna't help but crack a joke...... Ttfn
