On my gravel driveway I took the shoes off and added a 2" steel pipe to the bottom of the blade, by cutting a slit with a grinder and slipping it over the blade. It does leave a small skiff of snow on the driveway, but doesn't tear up the gravel or the grass when you have snow before the ground freezes....
No issues with snapped lines. I do monitor my speed and am careful not to slam into snow piles in an effort to prevent the Plow from being pushed up to snap the line. If a pile gets too big, I lift the Plow and press the top of the pile back, and then lower the Plow and press the bottom of it back. Operating this way, I haven't bent anything and I haven't broken anything.
U should probably change your hook up point your cable is to straight half ways between where u got it to now and where it mounts to the bike will give u the right leverage
I bought the push frame and mount from my local dealer that was specific to my machine. KFI makes many different mounts, so you may benefit from getting help from your dealer to figure out exactly what you need.

@@Fordluv I don't see any stamps or marks on my frame or mount, and I can't find my purchase paperwork. I would recommend contacting KFI via email or phone call and trying to get a recommendation of which one to purchase directly from the manufacturer.
Start by making sure the shoes are keeping the blade about 1/8 off the ground. Then, test a small area of the concrete. If you notice scraping marks, then put a little bit of tension on the rope to slightly lift the blade to help reduce the weight that is dragging across the concrete. Normally, I don't see any marks when plowing over my concrete section of the driveway. The pads will wear flat after a bit, and will further help distribute the weight of the blade to reduce or eliminate the scrape marks. Bottom line: trial and error in short distances to find the best combination that works for you.
@@ATVG thanks for the reply!! that's helpful info. i'm new to the game so when i saw the medal shoes/pads on both sides i was concerned it would scrape the concrete and leave behind marks. but sounds like those will wear a bit and won't be a problem if i understood you right. thanks again
I run koplin 72 inch high-rise plow on my Ranger 900XP and don't run it with the shoes. I get 2 snow seasons on the one side of the scraper blade here in northern Wisconsin. I then just turn the blade over and can get another 2 seasons. Replacement blades are fairly cheap to buy and are very easy to replace. My drive is just hair over quarter mile long with 3 short off shoots. Most is gravel with about 175ft of concrete all together. I really don't notice much for marks on the concrete.

Cool. They do work great. 218 Arctic Cat Havoc X on tracks. 7 foot steel KFI. 4 winters, still going strong.

What size are those pins that mount your plow to the mount on the bike
They are the same size as what is used to connect a trailer hitch.
