Ugh…started learning boogie woogie and having a blast! Thanks Jay…then fell at home and tore my left rotator cuff 🤬 just right hand practice for now. Dang it 😒
Thanks Jay nice beginning chops! Request: please do a tutorial of “Born To Boogie”. I haven’t seen this pattern yet on your channel. It would be great to see some nice rhythm comps and fills solos. 🙏🏻
Great video about the left hand(extremely helpful), do you think that there should be another video about how to apply or play the chords with the right hand? Cause it looks like the beauty of this style is related on how to play the left hand but also on how to play the right hand
Jay, first of all, I want to borrow your hands! Second, great stuff. More to practice. I'm still working on my shifting my left hand seamlessly and quickly in the 12 bar format. I'm getting better, too. It's just the last portion when I move my left hand to the left where I get a bit screwed up. To the right is much easier. Bill
ahhh #2, the pinetop bass. my brain wont let me learn this one, so ya i keep practicing... wow, so many stomp left hands. every creator has their own version. cant have too many left hand patterns. #4 and #5 are cool

Lick 4 is from Bumble Boogie by Jack Fina, but it's in Am so the first one starts on A. But it's the same riff.
Beginner?… see you after 10 years 😳👍🏻
3:20 My music teacher actually showed me this one
Gràcies!

Is there a certain name for these patterns?
I am totally new at this. I love it, but I wish there was a better camera angle to see the keys clearly
those are not licks
