He's a guy with a big heart. There's no denying that doesn't show, which is what makes him so attractive to women. They have a lot to give the other, which is why they became attracted to each other so quickly. Great character development by the writers.
Jamie is such a quiet guy to me, but he is very patient, and I think that women notice that. That's a very attractive trait to have when it comes to women, including Eddie. They are very attracted to each other, and some would even say they love each other because it's all there, and everything.
Eddie's attractiveness comes from a unique mix of happy girl, romantic heart, bravery when it's needed, not totally afraid if alone, but certainly more comfortable when she has her partner nearby. When they both have their guns out, she looks to Jamie for his lead, but she's right in it with him. She's still a probationary cop, so she's feeling her way into the job. Obviously, Jamie is a very good TO, even at only three to four years on the job, and she has no fear of asking his opinion so she can learn, but her switches are always "on", and she makes a good partner for him, the female side of public relations, something usually needed in every situation, whether it's a female victim or a child caught up in the situation. It's interesting to compare the partner interplay of the two brothers, and in spite of their different outward manners, their respect for their female partner shares a common root, sourced from their family background. I suspect Erin was something of a tomboy, and she is certainly her father's "little girl", even at this age. But their respect for women obviously comes from both father and grandfather, and their great love for their mother and grandmother, and they have no problem if the woman takes the lead in a bad situation.

Nice job, Mat. The new season needs a lot of these two. He's a straight guy, and she's a gutsie gal.
