Honestly a pretty redundant feature since you don't change Z offset that often and the tap using nozzle could be affected by leftover filament on the nozzle even if it's heated since it relies on conductivity,
incorrect, this is being used once you install a new nozzle and it helps to get a very precise offset between the nozzle and the BL Touch. This is easier than say the old manual way with a piece of paper.
@@modix3dlarge3dprinters89 Hence why i said it's redundant, not useless. Since measuring z offset is not something that need to be repeated that often. Even after normal nozzle replacement, as long as it's the same design (ie: E3D V6 with another V6 nozzle), the Z offset should stay the same since the nozzle production is within tolerance, and even if changing nozzle to different hole size, the Z offset also shouldn't matter that much. Unless if the printer operator does regularly switch nozzles of different design/manufacturer (ie: E3D V6, MK8, etc) which have different nozzle dimension; or have different hotend setup with significant height difference for quick swapping, or that the hotend setup use a throat that is fixed to the heatsink/extruder with screws on the sides and for some reason the operator disassemble everything when changing nozzle instead of just unscrew the nozzle so the entire hotend height changes significantly after maintenance; - at that point it makes sense to have automated Z offset.
@@Envinite Jada, jada. I have V6 nozzles from different manufactures and they differ in height pretty much enough to let a print fail. Also i have to change the nozzles a lot, as i have just one printer but different requirements to the 3D model (fast big parts vs. precise small parts).
we do not know the exact offset between the nozzle and the BL Touch. The BL touch mounting bracket is with a slot so you can configure it to support 3 different hotend length. Also, the BL Touch when triggers, the pin is lower than the nozzle. Check the entire video and contact sales if interested.
Is this included in the 180s and big meter? Or part of the bed level expansion?
Repost? I swear I saw this a few days ago but now it is "new". What changed?
hi friends, How did you measure the new belt tension?

If you have some filament on/under your nozzle i bet it will crash into that sensor. It cannot make electrical contact then.
why would you need both bltouch and probe if you already know the height of probe??? Not to mention the nozzle triggers lower than bltouch

Pretty much let's you use any nozzle and not readjust offset.
it is very difficult to understand what you say.
