I got a guinea pig when I was 14 and I swiftly learned I was allergic, I would break out in hives handling my pig. My brother got his pig the same day and they lived together so he ended taking care of them both since I was allergic. They were such good sweet chunky girls. 🤍 so glad you got this new little girl she is so adorable.
I have two things FRIST the bonding and the popcorning melting my heart because last bonding didn't end well and secondly we love zero just photo bombing like at 46:23 it was funny also how is zero?

You could also put some dry rolled oats in her pellets and that will help bulk her up I saw the LA guinea pig rescue recommending that for malnourished piggies! 🙂

Congratulations on adopting a Peruvian, and Sabrina is an awesome name😍. I have long haired guinea pigs (Peruvian and Abyruvian), and I have observed a difference in their personalities compared to American piggies. When I trim their hair so that I can see their feet, and fade their coat on the side (hair gets heavy on a pig), the long haired piggies suddenly popcorn, rumble strut, and zoom around much more. They get subdued because of their mobility is restricted because their heavy hair is too long. Another amusing observation I see in long haired pigs, is that they like to give each other altruistic hair cuts. I brush them and pet them, and then each one considers himself handsome. The handsome Abyruvian pig will start rumble strutting and lean over to trim the Peruvian's bangs. People mistake him for a Sheltie, but my Vet knows that he once had longer bangs, lol. After my Peruvian gets brushed and petted, he considers himself handsome and he rumbles over to trim the Abyruvian's rooster tailed butt.

she is so tiny I think they thought she was a baby, Kevin's popcorning is insane 😆. I know someone who use to use one of those grab arm tools to reach it and clean their big cage.
I had two long haired pigs, (one of them recently died at 2 yrs so one now) but they need to be washed every month to keep their hair from getting matted! They are very friendly and funny piggies so good luck! 🐹 💖

Congrats on a successful bonding! They are adorable together 😍 just a tip, I had the same problem with not reaching the whole cage, so is it possible for you to move the table a few inches out from the wall? That way you can walk around the table on all sides reaching even the middle 😀
I’m on my brothers acc but this is so helpful bc I just got another Guinea pig (I had two and now I have 3) and they are a couple months older then her (all females) and I got her like 30 minutes ago and now they are in a playpen with me ready if something happens

Hopefully she gains some weight relatively quickly and I bet she loves her new family 🥰 I loved the idea of the tables together and literally went with a tape measure to see if I could double up on space for a second pig pen myself and omg it’s so much bigger than I imagined! How the hell you can reach the back around the middle is beyond me 😂 So happy they have that much space and you must put a lot of effort into cleaning!

im getting 2 male pigs sometime soon with a five foot cage, and everything they have for free. they are NOT bonded as one is one year, and the other is six months, but i’m so excited! my other pigs are in midwests, 2 boys *huge babies lol* in 2 midwests, 2 girls in a single midwest *they are super small*, then our new girl is in a pet store cage for quarantine, and my two boys coming soon are going to be in the cage they are in for quarantine, we’ll be sure to upgrade though! ❤️

Hi! Your already on the right track by watching Alyssa's videos, but I recommend you do a lot for reserch and find an exotic vet near you. These are important things to know when you get pigs, good luck on your pigs make sure you get them from a reputable breeder or a rescue. 💜
Yay on giving Sabrina a happy home, she is a cutie. Definitely get the injectable its so much easier and in the long run with multiple piggies cheaper and less waste. If you have to give Critical care again try mixing a fruit flavor pedilyte with the water my guys loved strawberry.
