It takes over him. which is why Tyler was so confused when Wednesday was telling him that he was the hyde. He was being controlled by the hyde and Laurel. There is still a Tyler in there. He is just being controlled right now.

Tyler isn't the bad guy. It's the hyde that's the ad guy. yes the hyde is him but not the real him. The real tyler is the one that's trying to find who he is and he is in love with wednesday.

It’s funny how she calls him a serial killer when she poured piranhas inside her school pool and was sad that she never got the job done by killing them😂 anyone can say what they want about Tyler but let’s be honest him and Wednesday will be good together and I notice he understands her and the kind of person she is. Plus They’re both crazy😅
If you really think about it, Wednesday had a reason for pouring the piranhas in the swimming pool because they was bullying Pugsley for being different and even stated in the series that people like that should not be able to procreate meaning they should not be able to bring up kids just with the same ugly ideologies and behaviour.
While Tyler killed people for the power, thrill cause it made him feel strong and not weak which he admitted and wanted to continue doing even to the point of hurting the outcast including Wednesday who did nothing wrong to him as it was his Dad’s fault for never telling him the truth about his mother’s heritage let alone their frosty abusive relationship

Tyler is actually quite a tragic character. Tyler wasn't always a monster, until the Botanist literally groomed him to be Hyde. At worse he was just a bigot to outcast, making pranks at them, but when the botanist showed him her mother was an outcasts, he started changing his perspective. Moving away from his Outcasts Hating friends.
Unfortunately the botanist controlled him and a Hyde's nature is to be loyal to the one who broke his shell. In time, Tyler became more intertwined with Hyde and liked it more.
is the botanist dead? because if she is, who have the control now? and the reason was a chemcal, so if he don't get more of this chemical, isn't he health than? (I'm not so good at English)

I think it's the reason his Father didn't want to engaged that much with his son because he didn't want to accidentally triggered Hyde on his son and make his own son his slave.

I think it's a relief for me that Tyler has an important part in the series being a hyde and not just Wednesday's love interest (atleast what I think) with nothing else. I love chaotic couple, thats all. Still ship them lol
it'd be a very rare and interesting dynamic if they still engage and come across each other. and if they're endgame and somehow learn to accept each other, now that's a power couple no one can beat

He needs a redemption in s2 if there is any.
He killed too many people in S1. It would be challenging to give him an acceptable and believable redemption in the next season without the writers killing him or making him sacrifice his life for something good.

He said at first he doesn't remember anything after waking up naked in the woods every time he kills, but eventually he did and admitted that he loved it, describing the screams of his victims "delicious". I'd say he's beyond redemption and the only way it would be convincing enough for the audience is through his death. Just my opinion. 🤷♂️

He didn't betray her or trick her. That was Tyler speaking. In the police station scene, that was the hyde speaking. It takes over him. which is why Tyler was so confused when Wednesday was telling him that he was the hyde. He was being controlled by the hyde and Laurel. There is still a Tyler in there. He is just being controlled right now.
