I’ve been wanting to post this for so long because this has been finished for agesssss. My parents have been bugging me to get this finished since then, and while the song’s vibe isn’t “new year” material, I wanted this to be the first thing I post this year, for my parents ;)
We worked on the english translation together and had such a blast doing it. It’s as close to a direct translation as we could make it, but really it was just really fun to be able to translate our native tongue to the best of our abilities, so I hope you guys like this as much as we had fun with it :)

**the original lyric “purya buyag” is an expression and was pretty difficult to translate. It is said as a response when someone compliments you, someone or something. It basically means that you’re grateful for the compliment, but too much praise can take away the good blessings. It’s similar to “jinx” lol.
***FLAMES is a popular filipino game. Each letter stands for: Friends, Lovers, Anger, Marriage, Engagement and Soulmates. It’s a superstitious game that requires your full name and, most often, the full name of the person you like. It shows you a “future prediction” of your relationship with the person; very similar to a compatibility test.
