Fun fact. The solo is actually kinda a mistake. The split of the solo was accidentally mixed with the parts flip flopped. But they liked it better! Also Fountainhead was suggested by Christian because "why should I do when Tom could do it way better"
And i Thought that Steffen is leading in composing Obscura stuff. Glad to know that Hanness is keeping that omnivium style alive. I'm fucking loving it.
Nah Hannes's name is on the album for a reason. He wrote this song. And most of what you're hearing is Danny because he's a behemoth that can play practically anything and hes done a marvelous job here imo
Bought the album and unsurprisingly it's a fucking heavy and badass progressive/experimental tech death album. Dude is just a god when it comes to making traditional technical death metal with his prog and experimental elements added in. It has a thrashy feel to it a lot, super fast most of the time, and super good. Catchy too, and not out of simplicity or something similar, but just out of his ability to write awesome riffs and the guest's ability. Buy the shit.
Genesis/his first solo record/classical music is probably my favorite music artist/band ever at this point tbh I cry EVERY fucking time I listen to Mad Mad Moon. Every time. And he's just written so many masterpieces.
Well, you never know. The performers are basically "Alkaloid and friends", so once they tour, they might throw one in from this album if they get enough fan demand. I'd be ecstatic if they threw in Centric Flow or another of Hannes' Obscura contributions as well.
While that would be cool I'm 100% sure that will never happen. I think there's a reason why this material gets released under Hannes name and not Alkaloid. The way Hannes and Christian and Obscura parted ways I just know they'll never play Obscura material. They didn't on the few shows they've done so far.
I can't remember the last time i heard an extreme metal tune that was CATCHY, like a fucking pop tune is catchy. And i certainly don't ever remember hearing one that was this fast. Some goth, doom, or stoner metal obviously has room for hook-lines. But i've never heard anything even close to this speed and technicality that i also thought i might hum at some point. Fuck yeah! Awesome stuff!
Man, I know it sounds like a fretless guitar, but Fountainhead did this with a seven string. I know how he makes the sounds, but there is no way I can mimic it. The dude is a monster.
Well at the time I thought "Imaginative Soul" by Obscura was gonna wind up on Liquid Anatomy cos Hannes or someone told me that but now I'm hoping it's on Han Solo 3 or I just give up 😭😭 That song is so fucking good I just want a studio recording of it breh
daaamn soo thight!! don't get me wrong: i love cosmogenesis and omnivium, in which HAN fucking SOLO (hahahha) was the main songwritter but after him leaving, obscura took another way that for my is still fucking awesome and in some way innovating, even do, why the fuck did they had to kick out Fountainhead??¿ he is a wizard with the fretless guitar
This guy doesn't put 10,000 hours into his career, he puts his souls sleepless formlessness into it. Fuck this is amazing.
Nice :)
Paul Ozz ikr you can feel this shit it's amazing!
It's like Alkaloid feat. Fountainhead, hyped for the rest of the album!
Fountainhead is the solo guitar!
I know, so is Christian, that's why I said it's kind of a 'featuring'.
Fun fact. The solo is actually kinda a mistake. The split of the solo was accidentally mixed with the parts flip flopped. But they liked it better! Also Fountainhead was suggested by Christian because "why should I do when Tom could do it way better"
Is it even true? Fountainhead actually posted a video of this solo played exactly in the same sequence as here.
And i Thought that Steffen is leading in composing Obscura stuff. Glad to know that Hanness is keeping that omnivium style alive. I'm fucking loving it.
Yeah now you see the truth of that haha
Hannes wrote like 75-85% of Omnivium as I'm sure you know by this point 2 yrs later
I cant wait. another kickass album to come from Hannes & the boys. Horns up!!!
Stoked for this. I loved The Radial Covenant and still listen to it regularly. This sounds just as promising!
Anything this man touches becomes putrid gold!

What the guests! OH SHIT
This is the true embodiment of the German master race
agreed. European metal is on a whole other level
Ive been saying that for ages. Also the other Johannes. Mr Brahms made some mean ass German music too lol
+Zyborggian Just wondering, not to be mean, but you seem to know Hannes Grossmann's work very well to be replying to every comment.
This is also Zyborggian but yeah. Very very well. He's one of my 4-5 favorite songwriters in any genre.
Cool to understand the work of a great musician.
very good
Looking forward to this album. The riffing is amazing.
super nice
Recorded at Mordor Sounds? INSTANT LIKE.
Love the artwork!
fresh melotech from 3 awesome guitarist
Nah Hannes's name is on the album for a reason. He wrote this song. And most of what you're hearing is Danny because he's a behemoth that can play practically anything and hes done a marvelous job here imo

Currently listening to: Hannes Grossmann - To Sow The Seeds Of Earth
Best composer out there. Excited.
I damn near almost agree with you. Except Tony Banks, Richard Thomson and Mikael Akerfeldt exist.
Tony Banks, well-minded.
Genesis/his first solo record/classical music is probably my favorite music artist/band ever at this point tbh
I cry EVERY fucking time I listen to Mad Mad Moon. Every time. And he's just written so many masterpieces.
YESSSSSSSSS
Damn it man, tour this shit, it kicks ass
What we all want but won't happen >~

foook, this is BIG !!
OMFG, its so sad im way to poor for giving money for the making of this album, im sorry Hannes :c, but you have all my support!!!
damn. obscura doesn't need to exist anymore. RIP.
With their latest release they might as well not exist
Lou Manfredi
you didn't like it?
Akroasis is absolutely perfect.
Akroasis is missing the Grossmann vibe. Steffen wrote it all.
I'm glad Steffen and Linus wrote Akroasis. I find Hannes' and Christian's style very boring.
you done it again baws
Hell0 b0ss
THIS SHIT CRUSHES THE LAST OBSCURA ALBUM INTO DUST!!! \\M//
Fucking talented. The drumming sounds reminds me of gateways to annihilation.
Esto suena muy parecido a Obscura!
dat fountainhead solo!!!
really cool. Check out the new song Hannes posted. The guitar solo on that is completely insane!
yeah i know its danny tunker's solo. totally insane
Awesome technical death metal song by great person!! \m/
"Han Solo"🤔😂
Yea, that is his indiegogo
I KNOW ITS GOLDEN I CANT BELIEVE HE DIDNT THINK OF THAT FOR RADIAL 😂
well he was trying to at least be all professional. now he knows he will just get money whenever he ask
Travis Hunt Tru tbh XD
You need to go to the top mate
Fettes Ding!
Gruß aus Berlin
Eric & SINNERS BLEED
fuck yeah glad i found this band!
I just heard of this guy like ten seconds ago, but I wanted to say that the vocalist sounds a lot like a young Dave Vincent.
Fuck yeah! That's Hannes for ya : D
Holy balls.
Tom and Christian on the same song ? Can't beliave this e.e fucking epic !!
One question:who does the clean vocals ? it's morean too ?
This should cast a shroud of terror in the hearts of men.
THIS FUCKING AWESOME TECHNICAL DEATHMETAL \m/
THIS SONG IS FUCKING AMAZING!!!!!!!
\mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm/
Finally a comment that isnt an understatement
I do not have a paypal account and i definitely do not want to get one. Is there another possibility to support you?
Somebody can recommend me a band like Necrophagist? I really think Onset of putrefaction is the best Brutal Dead disc ever
+1
This fretwork is gross, man
Im just shivering in my Hanes underwear over it
+Zyborggian James you made me lol again God damnit
travis hunt YOURE WELCOME TRAYVIUS :)
fretless guitar during the guitar solo ? that is sexiest thing
Man, I know it sounds like a fretless guitar, but Fountainhead did this with a seven string. I know how he makes the sounds, but there is no way I can mimic it. The dude is a monster.
maybe it was a 7-strings fretless ? Haha, anyways it's impressive :p
Fountainhead is just unique
So it's basically more Alkaloid? Sounds good to me.
Upcoming Alkaloid is already on youtube if you know where to look ;)
+Zyborggian Where should we look? Tell us.
Well at the time I thought "Imaginative Soul" by Obscura was gonna wind up on Liquid Anatomy cos Hannes or someone told me that but now I'm hoping it's on Han Solo 3 or I just give up 😭😭

Theres an interview with Tom about it online if you look
I think all these dudes were just like..."Fuck kummerer, we can write better songs!" But Hannes really knows how to compose a good song, amazing work!
Obscura minus Kummerer🤔
Actually, it's Alkaloid + Fountainhead
Unhuman! just unhuman! (but in positive way;))
THAT BAND IS SEXUAL
Unhuman is a good band. Look them up
+Zyborggian James is that you?
