At the edge of the water when Silver Eye looks up fixating her eyes on you I saw and felt her communicate thanking you for your promise to her and honoring her life by sharing her story. It is as if she pleaded one last time for someone to listen to her plead to stop the encroachment of humans into their landscape for the sake of her future generations of lions. When she looked back at the landscape taking it all in as if she knows it would be the last time she would briefly scan to see where she spent her life it as she was bidding farewell to it. This is a powerful video I thank you for sharing and allowing us to experience this personal moment.
That's why dying lions go back to their birth territory, if they can. Must be soothing/comforting, all the memories flooding back, playing out in front of them. Their mums, siblings, Family, it's all any of them ever want. Its their happiest moments in life. That is back home..

I feel that we put more incident on the Male Lions then the female Lionesses and there family Prides as we know the Male Lions come and go and are with the prides for a short time " YET " the female Lionesses live longer in a very HARSH ENVIRONMENT. I can stop crying this Queen has seen her Magnificent princes kill one another her daughter's truth on the cry " please" stop !! The human births of poor continued birthing can continue! It's a small group who don't have over birthing but the poor continue nothing will be left that simple

You can't put a wild lioness in a shelter. That would be more cruel than anything. She would feel trapped and not be able to get back to her pride. She is just getting old and will hopefully pass peacefully when it's her time. There is nothing that can be done about old age. She is a legend and that is why they are filming her. Every sighting of her is a blessing.

I haven't followed this pride. How old is she and where is her pride?
She is part of the talamati pride. Dark Mane Avoca is the pride male. She sometimes can be seen alone but usually meets back up with the pride.
