Hi darling! Nice channel! Yesterday I bought rouge coco flash in Attitude. The color is beautiful on the stick but on my lips it seems completely different! I’s more pigmented than the regular coco shine but has no staying power at all. I applied a few swipes and it was gorgeous, then I drank a glass of water and smoked a pair of cigarettes. The color changed completely, I couldn’ feel it on my lips anymore. It had left me a barely visible stain and I started to feel my lips very dry. I had to apply some balm because they were chopped so I may assume it isn’t hydrating at all. The same with the old coco shine (I have Boy and Montecarlo) Maybe it’s just me but I have the strong feeling this product doesn’ worth the money I spent to get it.

The Rouge Coco Shine were my favourite lipsticks, and I hadn't even heard that they were discontinued and replaced by the Coco Flash , when I discovered the new display at the airport duty free last Friday! These are pretty but for the price point I don't think they are a necessity. I believe I could get a similar look/formula by applying a lip balm first and then a regular satin lipstick on top. Another option would be a lip shine from a less expensive brand. When I purchase Chanel products I want something a little more special. I do appreciate you taking the time to show us the collection, and they do look pretty on you.
I think that's a fair judgment. Not every lipstick has to be your favorite, especially if you already have something similar :) If you're going to spend the money it should feel special! xx

I love the coco shine lippies! I have almost all of them & have repurchased a few. Do the coco flash ones have the same subtle rose scent? The colors and finish look very close! I actually like the clear top of the package because I like being able to see the color. It’s done by Chanel so it doesn’t look like drugstore.
I like the lighter shades a lot. I don't think the darker more intense reds world with this texture, they look messy once they smudge out and melt, since this lipstick is not the kind that stays in place cleanly. unless you apply very neat lip liner first. but than if you want clean sharp look you will not go for this line of lipstick anyway

Hi Erin! Do you know if Chanel’s new Rouge Coco Bloom is similar to the Rouge Coco Flash, which was supposed to replace the Rouge Coco stylo shine? & will you be doing a video about them? Please let me know! Thanks :) I loved Chanel’s Rouge Coco Stylo Complete Care Lip Shine in 214 Message (it was one of Keira Knightley’s ads) & I was told and am about to see if the Coco Flash in Amour is similar but now with more options, I want to know what they’re like. I got so used to using a hydrating lipstick but nothing has been the same. The Rouge Coco stylo shine was so special because I remember it had some coconut oil, Appleseed extract, and jojoba oil in it so it was super hydrating and pigmented and the ingredients for the newer formulas lack the coconut oil and Appleseed extract, but the Rouge Coco Flash may work just as well.
I bought two of these at my Nordstrom and I have to say I love the formula. Something to mention is that the color changes a bit after the gloss part dies down and your left with just the color; I bought Boy (which I didn’t think I’d buy after seeing it on your lips, as i thought it may be too true nude but in person there was more cool tone pink hint of mauve there, and after the gloss shine went away it had more pink cast to the color. I was wondering though, maybe it’s me, but do they not want you to really try the makeup at Nordstrom as they do at Sephora? Maybe it’s the true 1:1 SA experience, but I was too nervous to ask them to clean off the lipstick so I could try on a couple of the colors to make sure they applied as sheer as they seemed on you (the Noir Moderne) so I wound up no purchasing).
I’m glad you love them too! Boy is an awesome color! As far as trying on lipsticks, you are absolutely encouraged to try! I’m sorry you felt nervous to ask... it might seem intimidating but the Chanel associates are trained to help :) of course very counter is different! Xx
I got a sample for all the colours and unfortunately I am not a shine, lip gloss girl. The colours look nice though. I may give it a go as the sample and the actual product, may be a bit different. I have to say that I didn't know about the top coats... But I love it already.

I loved Chanel’s Rouge Coco Stylo Complete Care Lip Shine in 214 Message (it was one of Keira Knightley’s ads) & I was told and am about to see if the Coco Flash in Amour is similar but now with more options, I want to know what they’re like. I got so used to using a hydrating lipstick but nothing has been the same. The Rouge Coco stylo shine was so special because I remember it had some coconut oil, Appleseed extract, and jojoba oil in it so it was super hydrating and pigmented and the ingredients for the newer formulas lack the coconut oil and Appleseed extract, but the Rouge Coco Flash may work just as well.

I bought two of these at my Nordstrom and I have to say I love the formula. Something to mention is that the color changes a bit after the gloss part dies down and your left with just the color; I bought Boy (which I didn’t think I’d buy after seeing it on your lips, as i thought it may be too true nude but in person there was more cool tone pink hint of mauve there, and after the gloss shine went away it had more pink cast to the color.
I was wondering though, maybe it’s me, but do they not want you to really try the makeup at Nordstrom as they do at Sephora? Maybe it’s the true 1:1 SA experience, but I was too nervous to ask them to clean off the lipstick so I could try on a couple of the colors to make sure they applied as sheer as they seemed on you (the Noir Moderne) so I wound up no purchasing).
I’m glad you love them too! Boy is an awesome color! As far as trying on lipsticks, you are absolutely encouraged to try! I’m sorry you felt nervous to ask... it might seem intimidating but the Chanel associates are trained to help :) of course very counter is different! Xx

I got a sample for all the colours and unfortunately I am not a shine, lip gloss girl. The colours look nice though. I may give it a go as the sample and the actual product, may be a bit different. I have to say that I didn't know about the top coats... But I love it already.
Try it out, you might be surprised! They don’t necessarily stay super glossy but they’re very hydrating which is a nice benefit :) xx
