Sir, I'm from India. Wanted to buy flagships from Honor every year since the Magic 3 Pro Plus. They never came to India. Always wanted a phone having 3D Face recog & fingerprint scanner ( preferably an Ultrasonic). Honor has a target of positioning themselves below Huawei even though they claim to be separate. In doing so they continuously focus on weaker hardware & software. No improvement in the UW, primary sensors or stabilization. Refuse to give PD cable and chargers. If they truly cared about what the customers think they would have listened or checked out the countless comments on their devices across sites and videos. I guarantee that they will screw with the 7 Ultimate just like last year.
You raved yesterday about Oppos screen and how wonderful it was yet today you reject the Honors screen as relatively poor when they are both virtually the same PPI.
Honor's software is not good. It's not there yet. Used Vivo X100 pro. Which is way better. But used Xiaomi mi 11 ultra more than 2 years. That was amazing. Xiaomi"s OS is on the next level. Found only Oppo's Rom was better than that.
Interesting! Totally agree that selection increased massively. Switched from Samsung to Honor this year (buying from you) and currently it looks like the new Vivo Fold in 2025 will be stunning, so might switch to Vivo then haha. (Read the vivo is going to come among other improvements with 6000mAh yet below 9mm thin, but likely no pen, which I do love using for some stuff /PDFs primarily)
Love your honest reviews, really appreciate that! I'd love a Vivo X200 but can't be bothered with no Android Auto so looking like an Oppo Find X8 pro - i do no gaming whatsoever so camera & battery life are the most important to me. Changing from current iPhone 13pro since the iPhone 3 so it's a big move for me! If going for a compact smartphone would the Xiaomi 14 (or 15 soon) or Samsung S24 (or soon S25) small size be a better choice?, or other alternatives?
I completely disagree with your assessment of this phone! First, the phone features a 3D face scanner and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor - something that no other device currently offers. You probably already know that the difference between a 2K panel and a 1.5K panel is imperceptible to the naked eye , especially on small screens like our phones, For the average user, this makes no real difference! ( by the way, there hasbeen no 2K panel on Iphones ever, but still everyone is praising their screens) - And if you compare the panels of recently released flagships and the one, that Honor recently provided - Honor's panel is much brighter than OnePlus's , Oppo's and Vivo's latest phones - so please stop hating on Honor because you are a tech reviewer supposedly and not a usual consumer (so there is no need to biased at all) 🙌🏻😊 Regarding the speakers, they are undoubtedly the best on any Android smartphone. However, I agree with you that the vibration feedback is not on par with what you get on a OnePlus device. Now, let’s talk about the cameras. For me - and for most typical users - the priority is having photos that are ready to upload directly to social media. Honor's algorithm caters perfectly to this need (with the exception of professional photographers). Plus, let’s not forget that there’s a major update coming in December or January that will improve the zoom algorithm. That said, I’d still choose a Vivo phone for zoom shots. But is the zoom camera really the most important feature of a smartphone?!!!! When it comes to software, I agree with you on one point: OriginOS is superior to MagicOS. But ColorOS.... Really? It’s practically a clone of iOS after the last update, and most Android users prefer to avoid that if possible. As for your beloved One UI - personally, it’s at the bottom of my list. It’s not as smooth as any of the Chinese OS options and feels outdated. MagicOS definitely has room for improvement, but I believe that by the time version 10th is released, it will surpass most other operating systems.
The peak HDR brightness is different from overall brightness and HBM levels. Also BOE makes 7inch panels with PWM and DC dimming. They refuse to give DC dimming.
@@debatreyochakraborty5087 I meant the overall brightness. Because if you are to check the brightness level of all these models from Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo, OnePlus and Honor you can see that Honor will provide 1,600 nits on the panel but other companies provide only 1000-1300 ( you can see this in the comparisons that were done between these phones in any Chinese channel on TH-cam)

Nice video. Thanks for the information. Please tell me, does the honor face id work like i phone face id? And wich software fron androids hou believe are the best? The top three. Thanks
For me, the Honor Magic 7 pro is better value is the battery is literally "just" smaller. I dont film 4k60 with the front facing. But also, I constantly sue samsung dex on my s24 ultra and the fact that honor has desktop mode too that's been optimised this isna reason I would choose it over the Oneplus 13, Oppo find x8 pro, and Vivo x200 pro. Not because it's an overall better device, but because it's overall better for me
I'm optimistic for the UK launch - I think there'll be a few upgrades by then, and if it tops DxoMark like the M6Pro did then it'll be a no brainer. Only thing I'm genuinely disappointed in is how much uglier it is than the Magic 6 Pro 😭
...but Android skins are just flavors of the same thing and all of them have some negative sides and limitations and generally the pace of upgrades is much lower than in the mid 10s. For instance, OneUi may be more "polished", and makes many things easier: but 1. it will never "overperform" nor match in any aspect a significantly better hardware (bigger sensors, batteries with greater density, additional image processing chips, faster charging etc.) and 2. it has also its fair share of bugs and shortcomings.
Personnaly i much prefer the magic 7 pro design , the oppo felt plasticky to me and in fact I heard that from some TH-camrs , we should also mention the much better speakers that surpasses any other phone (besides iPhone maybe), better biometrics (Face ID like, ultra sonic), the throttling is also better managed , slightly better battery, and a true ultra wide not like the x200 pro one which is too narrow . so besides cameras (in certain senarios ) the 7 pro is a better choice I think
They copied the iphone "dynamic island" (aka too lazy to slim down their camera tech). Why. Ruined an otherwise solid design. The only draw back of a centered camera bump is your hands can get in the way, but you could get used to it over time.
You just didn't like the price. I went from honor 50 to Google pixel 8 pro and i prefer honor in everything except the camera but honor is a 350 € phone and Google is a 1200€ phone

@@davidibarra6730 hm maybe the loudness is better but i dont believe the overall quality. i have my testing listeninf of music with normal loudness and the samples of gsm arena. There also the iphone sounds clearly better but theres probably no need to argue about it now. Ive heard the 7 pro improved the speakers even more. I will test that.
Can you just do battery test between honor magic 7 pro and oneplus 13, i want to check something 😊
Yea I would have to agree, I was not a big fan of Magic OS on the V3
Nice video. Thanks for the information. Please tell me, does the honor face id work like i phone face id?
And wich software fron androids hou believe are the best? The top three.
Thanks
Sir can pleased tell me how long it will take to reach india
I rather go for oppo find x8 pro
Same
But Oppo has downgraded and doesn't use Snapdragon
For me, the Honor Magic 7 pro is better value is the battery is literally "just" smaller. I dont film 4k60 with the front facing. But also, I constantly sue samsung dex on my s24 ultra and the fact that honor has desktop mode too that's been optimised this isna reason I would choose it over the Oneplus 13, Oppo find x8 pro, and Vivo x200 pro. Not because it's an overall better device, but because it's overall better for me
Since you are a big Chinese phone guy -- Vivo Origin OS or Honor Magic OS and why?
honor magic 7 pro or gt 7 pro which one did u feel is easier on the yes? both have great eye safety features right?
Which telephoto sensor is better in your opinion ?
Do you ship honor phones (Honor Magic 7 Pro) to India ? kindly confirm so that i can make a purchase :) Thx.
I bet the white version won't be global. Honor usually only release two colors for the Magic Pro series, and white is not normally one of them :/
I was planning to buy Magic 7 pro if it had 2k display n 1inch sensor but its trash
So you went ahead and unboxed it after you had the device in your hand😅
He unboxed the phone it already had a lot of finger smudges. It's just poor effort on his part lol
poor effort? f*ck off! i said i had opened it already to give you a full overview and my opinions, away and watch another channel
Howto enable air gestures ?
Can you ship phones to Norway?
yes sir
Does the Chinese version work with android auto in the uk?
No, chinese phones don't suppourt Android Auto.
@PrayogThrow Thanks
I'm optimistic for the UK launch - I think there'll be a few upgrades by then, and if it tops DxoMark like the M6Pro did then it'll be a no brainer. Only thing I'm genuinely disappointed in is how much uglier it is than the Magic 6 Pro 😭
Thanks for the insight
...but Android skins are just flavors of the same thing and all of them have some negative sides and limitations and generally the pace of upgrades is much lower than in the mid 10s.
Im with the minority, gonna go for the OnePlus 13. very good all-around package.
What of hyper os, is it better than hyper os
hyper os was shit when i had xiaomi 14u worst os , restricted apps was still running in background and draining battery...
It's a shame because I've the Magic 5 Pro and it's been great. Except for the battery drain nag with the VPN.
i was 3 years realme user, i just dont trust em anymore they lied a lot
Average Dad getting the reviews of the latest tech first, and an honest opinion!
I bottled it getting a new phone got the Google pixel 9 pro xl 512GB for a snip ..only £825 brand new
Was that after trade in?
@markcaiger-watson1104 No mate I was lucky some lad was selling it on eBay for that price ..I think it's £1249 on the Google site
@@markcaiger-watson1104 Was on eBay mate ...Was lucky to get it that cheap too be honest
🔥💛
I think the huawei mate 70 will be better then this
Disappointed with yet another lame 3x zoom

You get what you pay for. iPhone camera will always be superior
