I lost my little girl to a rare disease, her grave is very beautiful. My 2 great grandparents bought the plot in 1896. My family is there and my husband and I have our headstones placed next to our only child, Amy. Losing a child is the worst

I'm so very sorry for the loss of your baby
My grandmother lost her first little 4 year old daughter on Christmas Eve 1940 due to illness. The doctor told them to give her the Christmas present since she would not make it. They buried her on Christmas Day. So very sad. She never really got over it. I’m glad we have cemeteries to place their name to remember it and honor them…so glad they really aren’t their, just the shell where they dwelt and they are truly will live on forever, hopefully with Jesus in heaven if they chose to follow Him.
We lost our daughter Jessica at birth in 2003. Let me tell you, for a parent there is no feeling of helplessness like the loss of a child. We tried for 13 years to have a child. Went through all the testing and when my wife was told the additional testing would be very invasive, I asked her if she wanted to continue. She agreed not to continue and 6 months later, she was pregnant. We lost Jessica on December 23, 2003. She lived about 6 minutes! Jessica is now buried in my military plot at Calverton National Cemetery on Long Island in New York. My wife and I have stayed together and celebrated our 32nd anniversary this past May 6th.
My mother lost my beautiful baby brother at birth, she found out in labor he was gone, they didn't comfort her, she gave birth & never got to hold him, never got a birth certificate or a death certificate, they basically told her you didn't have time to love him, go home & go on in life 😡 this was early 70's, she mourns/deep depression every year around the time he was born. My heart breaks for her... rip baby boy Coy, I always called him Michael..
Wow I was born in 03, she would’ve been my age. Thats so terrible. I hope you heal from those experiences. You don’t deserve it. Rest In Peace 🙏🏾

There is nothing sadder than burying a child. My grandson passed at 10 weeks, it's the hardest thing I've ever endured, enduring..... The grief never leaves 🍂

@@M.C.Blackwell we're not welcome at his headstone, as we noticed what we placed was always missing. There's 1000 miles between us. I think in the whole picture, not paying our respects to him is the hardest. The generations from gen x into millennial is quite rough on family units. Some have no respect for those who came before them, unless your paycheck has enough figures in it. Another son was pulled in, those who live in glass houses really should keep the stones out of their hands. What matters, we all have ONE Judge at the end of the day. I will pass through with my head held high #TruthBeTold #AlienatedGrandparents
Donavan, your grand baby knows the love you have for him and you share a bond that will never be broken, not by distance, not by death. His spirit is ever around you and I hope you know that.
It made me slightly weepy. The love and care that went into the dollhouses is there. I also love that even after the parents are long gone, each of these communities takes care of the houses. Even after people are gone, these cities look after their own.

I have a wooden dollhouse kit, certainly not this scale, actually a 12:1 scale, 12 real inches equals 1 inch when reproduced (not a doll house builder, or collector, although i've owned this kit many many years) this inspires me you get it out, and I may not see who has the doll house, I would hope one of four granddaughters would take it.

Know exactly what you mean, my brother passed away from cancer 18 years ago. My dad has never been the same since.

I never knew that there were dollhouses in cemeteries. It was very fascinating and truly touching how much those parents adored their girls! Sorry to hear that some people are so ignorant that they have to vandalize items in a cemetery! Very nice video!

There's one in a cemetery in Alabama which they say people from all over the world come to see
It’s a sad story but it’s also a nice story because someone refurbished the house and is keeping it up in honor of the memory it would be nice to redo all of the headstones and all of the cemeteries that have been broken if there was a way to refurbish all of the headstones and all of the cemeteries that have gotten cracked or broken Keep up the good work I really love your channel

Yes, it's sad when you see stones cracked and broken, or need cleaning, and they never get taken care of, because there is no family left, or the ones left just don't care. I was told, that u less the family or someone asks for them to be repaired or kept up, they never are. Especially the older ones. It's sad that everything has to be about money. I sometimes wish money had never been invented. People could trade things, for things, or work for work, and share. The world might be a better place.
Lovely. I thought it was heartbreaking in a way, but a wonderful thing to have done. We lost our only Daughter 6yrs ago. It the worst thing that can happen to anyone. Thank you for showing this.

This touched my heart ❤ as a mom and grandma this brought tears to my eyes, and joy knowing there are such wonderful people who saved these houses in memory of these two little girls. It's amazing how history is shown and preserved in these doll houses 🥰

In my homestate of Alabama, there is a cemetery where a little girl passed away from diphtheria or something like that. Her father also built her one slightly bigger out of brick which had awnings. Her tomb is inside. People from all over the U.S. travel to our state to visit it. Her parents graves are in the "yard" part outside the house. Story goes, she always wanted a playhouse and died before it was finished. Now she in resting in peace inside her playhouse. So sad!
It is the Lynette Cemetery in Lynette, Alabama and the little girl was called Nadine. I want to say she died in the 1940's.

Her location is marked on Google maps. I'm in Mississippi. I may travel there to see it.
Saw that grave on another TH-cam channel. She died in 1933, just before Christmas. Her toys are inside the little house.
Nadine Earles was her name. She died in 1933.
Our family is buried here and this little house has been broken into many times. So sad.

What a beautiful story although so sad for this family. But now these children are in heaven and can look down on their playhouses and how much their parents love them. I am an avid dollhouse builder and there is so much love and history in them. God Bless you for sharing this with everyone.

Your videos are always so respectfully done. I've always thought that losing a child would be the worst thing that could happen to someone. I've never understood vandalism in any form, but vandalism of graves has got to be one of the ultimate sins. Hats off to those who refurbished the dollhouses and all those who help preserve graveyards and cemeteries. Thank you for the video.

There is a dollhouse grave in Lanett, Alabama. I agree with you about the eerie feeling, I think their story affects everyone. The families are dealing with the lost of a child and their love is represented by the dollhouses. RIP

How sweet they built dollhouse graveyard to remembered their children
I've never seen this. Yes it's both beautiful and sad at the same time. Each of my daughters have huge doll houses build by my husband. As we cut back the trees from our property in tenn he would save some lumber and build things. I asked for one sometime ago. I'd collect miniature furniture and dolls. Teasingly I asked before we had daughters if he would build me one that I could furnish with my collection. He said yes. We cut back the trees twice a year.we sell the timber to help pay the taxes. We do plant new trees but it's our land and property. He build me a 3 story doll house huge. Gave it to me as a christmas gift about 17 years ago. Seeing we had 2 sons. I didn't know if we would have anymore children much less girls. But when we had girls. He'd set aside some lumber and made each of our daughters a house no 2 are alike. When I saw this video. I thought how much love and care each parents must had for thier daughter to do this. It take time and patience. How anyone could vandalize a child's grave is just cold and cruel. No matter how much time had passed. Vandalizing any grave is wrong, but to do that to a child is just wrong on all levels. With time and weather I'm surprised they was not encased in plexi glass. To protect them from weather and vandals. I understand why those parents did it. I'm sure they never thought the weather or vandals could destroy them. Thanks for showing this glad the weather not as bad as it was and hopefully spring is around the corner. I did see this when you posted it. I was going to get around to it. It slipped my mind till it.popped back on today. Thank ms whitdoc for her help.🙂👍100%💜🌻🖐. Love respect and positivity always. You have no control over the weather. I saw another child's resting place that was just as beautiful an the parents were buried with her...an people please remember it was a different time an what some think as weird or unusual was considered the greatest last gift to their love one😇 🙏🕊😇

Thank you so much for sharing this. Yes, it’s sad and wonderful at the same time. Sorry for your horrible weather. It was very cold up here as well, but little snow and no power loss. We did have 7 water mains rupture over the two week period , however. They were all fixed within a very short amount of time. We are quite used to temps in the 30 to 50 below zero range. We do hate them as well.

Beautiful yet haunting video. I agree these were monuments of a love story, just not the traditional love story, but one that transcends all time & personal boundaries, the love of a parent for their child.
When you showed the insides of each doll house, I personally got a different feeling from each of them. Lova's doll house- felt calm, serene & quietly joyful. Almost like it knew its owner was free from the earthly bonds that held her trapped in a failing weak body. While Vivian's doll house had a feeling of waiting for something that would never be, but also true heartbreak & sadness for it had never felt the joy of the child it was made for & the heartrending loss her parents felt in losing their child so soon.

You are so very right about the worst day in someone’s life. I wish people would leave cemetery things that are put on there graves alone. Not only vandalizing but you have theft. People why take flowers they have them everywhere to get. I really appreciate what you do and maybe somehow this will show people what is going on in cemeteries. Know of no cemeteries, today, allowing such a sweet commemorative little dollhouse. Only Flat markers are allowed where our daughter is buried...So that the Groundskeeper can easily mow we were told. Yes, a bit sad but, I wish more graves had the person’s story to say “gone, but not forgotten”.🌼

I have seen a lot of unusual graves, stones, epitaphs, and things on graves but you find even more. There is no right or wrong way to mourn. When it comes to children it's totally heart wrenching. Thank you for the special way you share what you find.

@@Whittdocs My pleasure. there is a cemetery next to my grandmother's house and I used to play around in it reading headstones ect. ect. there was an infant there that from headstone to foot stone was no more then 15 inches maybe a little longer but tiny. thank you for your share.
