So basically you are saying that every murderer, rapist, pedophil, thief is saved by your god and they are righteous, then what are the victims of abuse to you and your god? And who is the sinner in those situations - the rapist or the child that is being abused and who your god will save? It seems to me that every religion promotes and supports every form of abuse on this planet
Hey Martin, when God declares us righteousness, it is not because of our actions and inactions but because of Jesus’ obedience to the cross. We were doomed for eternal darkness but of His great love for us, He sent Jesus to take our place. Now, because of Jesus’ sacrifice we have received the gift of righteousness and we have been reconciled back to God. Sin has consequences, so if a believer commits murder or rapes someone, they will face the consequences of their crime. God does not condone sin(He is holy) but when a believer sins, God does not reject him as a child because our relationship with Him is made possible because of Jesus. If your child committed a heinous crime, they don't stop being your child, you will still love them from prison. God does not condemn us but He corrects us just like any parent would. God is not blind to injustice, He is JUST, He will not look the other way because He loves the offender and victim in the situation. But He won't pour out wrath and judgement because Jesus took it on our behalf. I’ll entreat you to keep listening to Pastor Joseph Prince’s messages. We will never understand God’s grace because of our humanity but that is what makes us love Him because while we were deep in our sin and had no need of Him, He gave us the Son whom He loves. So basically you are saying that every murderer, rapist, pedophil, thief is saved by your god and they are righteous, then what are the victims of abuse to you and your god? And who is the sinner in those situations - the rapist or the child that is being abused and who your god will save? It seems to me that every religion promotes and supports every form of abuse on this planet
Hey Martin, when God declares us righteousness, it is not because of our actions and inactions but because of Jesus’ obedience to the cross. We were doomed for eternal darkness but of His great love for us, He sent Jesus to take our place. Now, because of Jesus’ sacrifice we have received the gift of righteousness and we have been reconciled back to God. Sin has consequences, so if a believer commits murder or rapes someone, they will face the consequences of their crime. God does not condone sin(He is holy) but when a believer sins, God does not reject him as a child because our relationship with Him is made possible because of Jesus. If your child committed a heinous crime, they don't stop being your child, you will still love them from prison. God does not condemn us but He corrects us just like any parent would. God is not blind to injustice, He is JUST, He will not look the other way because He loves the offender and victim in the situation. But He won't pour out wrath and judgement because Jesus took it on our behalf. I’ll entreat you to keep listening to Pastor Joseph Prince’s messages. We will never understand God’s grace because of our humanity but that is what makes us love Him because while we were deep in our sin and had no need of Him, He gave us the Son whom He loves.
