In the late 70's I drilled a three finger ball (little finger hole added to a fingertip) in an experiment to take some pressure off of my wrist. Unfortunately, all it did was kill the ball roll. While playing with that ball, I started inserting my middle finger in the hole drilled for my ring finger and used the hole for my little finger for my ring finger. This effectively gave me a short span for my ring finger compared to the span for my middle finger. Very similar to a Sarge Easter grip ( which I didn't know existed). This changed my ball roll completely ( adding more of what is now called axis tilt but then was known as side roll). Shot some big scores with that old five star!

I've been throwing recently with a Sarge Easter due to an injured ring finger. I also have an urge to want to try to see if I can throw my usual grip & see if there is no pain. It's, mainly cause I drilled some balls before injury that I really want to throw & not switch it to a Sarge unless Ireally really have to.
Would like to make a few points please Sarah. But first I do love your videos and channel. 1. Tendon Pain is a result of repetitive stress. Going back to fingertip may not hurt at first, but over time the pain will likely come back. Remember that. 2. The fingertip release looked much better and more controlled. You were much more accurate. 3. Doing one video a day for a whole month could bring back all your pain. Does not sound like a good idea. 4. Please set the camera off to the right when you bowl, your body blocks the shots. 5. The video had the yucky orange color caused by a fault in the iPhone white balance. To have normal looking vids and photos please follow the directions below to turn off the faulty setting: Go to Settings, Select Camera, Select Record Video, Turn on Lock White Balance Yucky Orange gone forever!
It’ll prob hurt at some pt, right? U’ve mentioned a time or two in the past month, using the Sarge Easter grip, ur wrist hurts? Only u know what’s best for u. U do u.
Looks like your follow through could use some work. I think thats why you keep tugging it. Your arm is coming off to the left. Too much hand at the bottom and left she goes

dont pick the ball up with your bad wrist, use your good hand/arm to do that. will prevent a lot of pain trust me
