I have an Excel list of my decks (1/2 the size of your collection) but I don't typically look at it. I use index cards, slicing them in half. I write the name of the deck on each card. I have the cards in piles (botanical, fairies, goddess...). So if I feel like botanical, I'll shuffle my pile of botanical index cards and whatever comes up, I'll use. OR, I look thru my pile of botanical index cards and choose what I feel like using. This way no deck is forgotten. I store my decks by category. I used to keep all these big box decks in labeled bags but I still overlooked them so I placed them back in their big boxes lol. Thanks for sharing, Watching/listening was fun.

I have a drawer for ancestor decks and books, witchy decks, Celtic decks, animal decks, dark decks, Marceille decks, Thoth decks, fun comfort decks, big box decks, the general tarot decks, extra special decks, Myth and Story decks, impressionistic decks, omg lots of decks its always an undertaking.
These videos are so calming to me. I could watch on and on even though they're already about an hour long. Just love the tone of your voice and the beautiful decks together. Totally already looking forward to the next parts since I love watching these for a chilling end of the day.

Loved this!!! I'm in the middle of reorganizing, too! I got a beautiful arty wall shelf and put a lot of special decks there. I store llewellyn boxes in the garage. I've got no time or patience for those boxes. I make a bag or order a bag for all the decks. The guidebooks go in alphabetical order on a top closet shelf.
I definitely tend to organize my shelves according to theme and use. I've got DVD shelves next to the bed and a dresser. So decks I don't use as often are in the drawers and decks I use more often are on the shelves so I can see and reach them easily.
I’m still reorganizing decks, problem is I keep buying more and I’m running out of space, lol. Not a bad thing, at least for me. I’ll hang decks on my ceiling like a quasi-chandelier if need be. Love the tarot of the strange antlers/branches. I have a few French decks in my collection now, thank goodness for google translate. Loving your collection, beautiful! 💜
I know it is nice to have the llewellyn boxes... but I got rid of a lot of them because of storage. The beautiful ones I repurposed... i keep craft stuff.
@@MarleneTheresa for the time being you could get organza or simple drawing bags so you can take time buying the bags that match... I don't know that's a thing for me! I do mine like Kelly's, but that's because I work with felt. I put them in a box close to me so I am always using them. I have a large collection so now I decided to stamp their names so it is easier to find!
oh interesting, the format of Elemental Tarot I have is different than yours. Since I don't do the decans or tropical astrology the correspondences don't bother me. My fav bags are Moonlit Faye bags.
What will you do with the boxes when you take the decks out?? I took several decks out of the big boxes too and it does clear up shelf space but now I'm hanging on to the empty boxes because I don't know if I'll need the box eventually (to rehome a deck for example). I've considered storing them in those huge plastic rubbermaid bins in the garage but I worry about the humidity.
Oh good question! I think I will either recycle or repurpose the boxes. The decks I’ve chosen to take out of boxes are decks I don’t think I’ll ever want to rehome.
