Wedding companies are the biggest rip offs. I ordered a multi tier cake, had a designed topper for it and said it was actually for my parents wedding anniversary. It was $250 cheaper than the exact same cake that was listed under the "wedding" section. Most companies when they hear the word wedding prices go up because a lot of brides get that hyped yup wedding fever happening.
YES!! when i ordered my vow renewal cake, i asked for a three tier white cake "for a company party." my mom then added her own fondant ribbon to seal each tier and we decorated the top with orchids. $110!! it was gorgeous. other bakers heard the word "wedding" and wanted to charge $400+!!
honestly, these boxes should have an option of being either quarterly or monthly because some couples have quick engagements and some of the stuff in unnecessary, and like, the boxes should be equivalent to the process, like guest list, invitations, bridesmaid styling, groomsman styling, dress inspiration, table decorations, giveaways, day-of coordination, wedding shower ideas, etc. instead of a box full of samples of throwaway items. Also, there should be a surprise box delivered at your one-year anniversary!

if I had to design my own bride to be box, now being married, I would put in: a mini lipstick palette, a blue jewel hair piece, champagne flavoured sweets in a pretty champagne glass, an emergency mini sewing set, a scented candle, some pretty earrings, and a little wedding decorative notepad and pen.
I got the Bride Box for 6 months and I only liked one box and thought it wasn't ever worth it :/ I am getting married in 6 days AHHHH and wish there were more bride box subscription services

I LOVED getting The Bride Box when I was engaged! I definitely was not in love with every single month, but I definitely liked most of them AND it was just so exciting to get it in the mail every month! I think that you should do more unboxings of bridal stuff and maybe create a whole bridal playlist of different things getting ready for your wedding and stuff like that I know I really enjoy it :-)
Cute idea but I feel like it's another wedding industry gimmick to get your money. Doesn't seem like either box is especially useful in the stuff it's giving you or in suggesting boutique companies to work with.
I feel like it's probably harder to provide samples for wedding items. The luggage tag, tumbler, notebook, and gold bracelet could be stand alone items for sure. But it seems like everything else is completely impractical if you have only one. It's a little different from a beauty sample that you could just give away if it's not for you. (What's one friend going to do with a single cupcake topper?) So is it worth it to pay for samples you may not even like and won't be ordering for the big event? To me, neither box was worth $30 and up.
With the amount of money spent on those boxes they should have included multiple bracelets for ALL of your bridesmaids not just the bride xD how can there be "team bride" when there's only one member?

I love The Bride Box! I just got my second box last week. I got bride and groom drink koozies instead of the cake topper, but the rest of the stuff was the same.
When you got engaged my first thought was "aw, how wonderful! She is going to have the best tips and cutest ideas." My second thought was, "damn it, my engagement is almost over; if only she had gotten engaged a year earlier!" I get married in just under two weeks and I never even thought about bride boxes. I need your help, Elle!

The boxes are not worth it, but it is always fun to watch you unbox. They should have include pre wedding list like schedules or what to do etc.. Something useful to help with the wedding.
