Thanks for the clear and understandable scope mounting instructions and explanation. I have known many shooters with excellent equipment experiencing poor performance results and frustration because of improper scope mounting. Jess
Question, presently not scope related I'm looking at an FX Dreamline classic in .22 or considering an $800 increase for a Crown. What I would mostly be using it for is plinking/Tgt or possibly hunting small game. Thanks for the excellent videos, keep them coming.
Hi, Matt! Absolutely love your vids! Recently purchased an Element Helix scope for my FX Mav on your recommendation. Please help me - do I set the zero stop at the "peak" of the ballistic curve? That way I can dial "up" to any target nearer than or further than the zero distance. If I set up with two zeros, then I'll have to dial "down" between these two points - something I cannot do with the zero stop activated. Please help! I look forward to your reply! Mike
Dang, what kind of stock is on the Tikka and where can I find one? it's beautiful! I purchased my first PCP airgun (a Talon Tunes Impact X .30cal 600mm) yesterday and a new Helix to compliment it. It's going to be a week before it arrives and the anticipation is almost unbearable... Its probably a good thing, while I wait I can actually read the manuals and watch some more of your videos prior to breaking something. Great content as always, thanks, Bobby
Nexus is awesome. It’s been 2 months money well spent. I really want a Helix to. I put it on my Bergara b14 .22. Target 🎯 test was perfect spot on. I was thinking of The Nightforce nxs and the Razor. I’m glad I went with the Nexus 500 less money. And a better scope well thanks gotta go to the range. It’s a American thing. B
No this is not OK - The reason being that the barrel will not be directly below the scope. If the barrel is not directly below then it will be pointed slightly sideways in order to obtain a zero, and will only be zeroed for windage at that one point.
Hi Daryl, there are many decent brands out there so it depends on your budget...they can get expensive! We do highly recommend a 20MOA tilted one-piece mount though, as it will help you keep your scope closer to its optical centre when zeroed (better clarity)
So much trial and error on this subject. So much cussing on the mount cap tightening. Wish that I had this video back when I first got into putting together my own rifles.

This is without any doubt the best scope mounting video I have seen. Nice job. Thanks.
This video couldn’t have come at a better time for me. Mounting my new scope today. Thanks Matt! 👍
It's a pleasure! Happy mounting!
I have received my new well packed Helix & have fitted it to my
new HW100 & now for the action ASP. Cheers Tippo.UK. GB.

I've placed a pre-order @Krale. When can we expect to see the Helix and Titan in stock? Still targeting for mid-May?
Still targeting mid may yes
Do you ever lap your scope rings?
Jesus... that's proper precise old school stuff.
If somebody came near my scope and rings with lapping past, I'd club them half to death!
It can help to lap your rings, but most well-made bases and rings should be pretty close to perfect as they are.

Going to sound a silly question but is this scope suitable for long term use on a centre-fire rifle?
Buen video, podrían activar los subtítulos al español please!
Matt, are there any plans to sell these scopes locally in SA? Have you lined up SLA's with dealers to stock these products yet?
Charl Botha Yes, they will be available in South Africa through Patriot Outdoors. Waiting for the first shipment to clear customs.
@@AirArmsHuntingSA I have not heard of them, are they an online store or physical shop?
Currently they are just wholesalers, but will also be an online store and physical store in the future.

Hi , some people said mounting the scope can’t to the rifle is ok as long as your reticle is pararel to the horizon.pls confirm

Awesome video. I’m considering mounting the Titan scope on an FX Impact. With a 34mm barrel, what make and model scope mounts do you recommend?
