    Had to watch all Chromes races again. And again. And again. He was such an egotistical bad ass.........perfect race horse.

    I love watching Chrome do what he loves to do. Look how clean Victor is. 😀

    It's a shame we'll never see CC v AP, what a race that would have been.

      I think that would be the best match race of all-time. I still think Pharoah would win, but not by much.

      AP was definitely a better 3 year old. But Victor Espinoza has stated unequivocally that the 5 year old Chrome is the best horse he's ever been on, American Pharoah included. And he's said it more than once.

      Venckman Yes, when horses train on rather than retire they tend to endear themselves more to people and become more established favourites than the ones we only see for 1 or 2 seasons, Espinosa has a had a lot of time to bond with CC, it's a shame AP (for financial reasons) wasn't allowed to train on.

      It's scary to fathom how good a more developed AP at 4yo might've been, heck, he was scary good as a thin 3yo colt.

      or even better, bigger and stronger at age 5!! :)

    Chrome was a very good three year old, and if Montana hadn't torn his hoof off, he might have been a TC winner. He was hurt as a four year old, but as a five year old he's become a monster. Beholder might be past her prime at 6, but she's been very, very good. I'm really looking forward to the breeders cup distaff, which just may be the best three females in the same race of all time.

      Matterhorn was the horses name next gate over from CC in his Belmont. Was a shame cause the four second it stopped him in his tracks it cost him the crown. BUT he made it up to take Fourth. Got paid.

    THIS HORSE WAS ONE IN A MILLION. HE REALLY BROUGHT PEOPLE OUT TO THE RACETRACK! SO MUCH FUN! It’s too bad Chrome cannot be in the USA on a farm in KY where we could all visit him on tours!!!!!!!!!!

    @RedBev59 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    When they were taking Chrome to load in the gate.....he stopped to pose. LOL Second time he stopped the handler pulled him in. LOL What a ham. He's GOT to pose. :D Amazing horse. Always was and always will be.

    CHROME laughed at Beholder like I knew he would. CC has gotten bigger, stronger and faster with age......he's the one to beat in the BC CLASSIC....;)

    • @RedBev59
      @RedBev59 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      And he probably would have if Arrogate ran "clean". But we know Arrogate was not clean, But CC sure made Arrogate run the hardest he ever had to run just to pass CC by a nose in the BCC. Chrome showed ALOT of those cheater trainers just what a TB can do when NOT drugged.

    ANY QUESTIONS WHO'S THE BAD ASS AND #1?......my friends said Beholder would crush him, I LAUGHED, CC HAS GROWN INTO A F ING MONSTER. GOOD LUCK BEATING HIM, IT WON'T HAPPEN.

    amazing i luv this horse geared down and he still goes in 2min flat should be a great race the breeders cup classic cc and arrogate i think california will come close to winning all the dirt races far as i can tell the east has no one

      The BIG news is Nyquist will challenge Chrome in the BCC. Youngsters. Who haven't even raced in ages. LOL AND Melatonin is threatening Chrome. LOL He hasn't raced in 9 months. Is fresh. Training......their great. Their work outs are impressive. When pressed in a hard fast BCC race........they'll flop out. For sure. I doubt they can pour it on for that long of a race. Chrome is used to it. EASY for him. He'll come home in a Canter again in the BCC. I'm not sure who is coming from Japan and England. Trouble is. ...trainers like BB train for FAST speed out of the gate ...wire to wire. BUT his wire to wire horses are long gone. They poop out now. Keep up and pin but can't make it to win. oh well. I love them all but my heart belongs to Chrome.

      I think he will run in the Pegasus World Cup in late January, and that would probably be his last race.

    Lets see who is the better horse by looking at the record:
    Chrome: 60% win avewrage, 4 times not in the money
    Beholder: 76% win average, one time finishing 4th, almost 3rd
    Pacific Coast Classic:
    2016: Chrome, in 2:00.1 Very Good time
    2015: Beholder in 1:59.7 Better time

    • @Venckman
      @Venckman 7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Currently, he's the better horse, no question. I think Beholder is wonderful and definitely one for the ages, but Chrome is in a league by himself at the moment. And when all is said and done, and the HoF ballots are filled out, I doubt a couple of off the board finishes early in his two year old year, and first race back from the TC trail is going to be held against him.

    • @brucerobbins3584
      @brucerobbins3584 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I guess you did not understand or agree with my comment.. Tomorrow, Beholder will beat him. CC is very inconsistent. His longest win streak is 5 races, this year. Like Secretariat. He lost the Dubai Derby to an 8 year old. He lost to Shared Belief and Bayern.
      If Beholder's time at a mile and a quarter is better than CC's, how is he the better horse? If her race record is 17 percent better, how is CC the better horse? CC has lost to horses that Beholder beat. How does that make him a better horse.

    • @HannahBay34
      @HannahBay34 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Chrome has been the model of consistency this year. And all of those stats don't matter when they raced head to head and he beat her, and her jockey said she hit the same gear as last year and he still blew her away. By definition, that is what makes him the better horse.
      Chrome is simply a completely different horse this year. His time off as a 4YO served him well and he is now in a league of his own.

    • @Venckman
      @Venckman 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Your comment wasn't difficult to understand, I got it fine. I just don't find those stats to have much relevance to the situation as it stands. CC is a very different horse today than he was earlier in his career. That should quite evident. As an aside, it should also be an inspiration to keep horses in training if they are healthy. Because retiring horses early, as is so popular these days, is depriving the racing public of the fine work that can be done by a good horse who is allowed to mature physically and mentally. In any case, those stats -- and in fact the question you posed -- are really pretty meaningless to the the reality: this is the best horse in the country right now.

    • @RedBev59
      @RedBev59 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Chrome has a couple of years racing on the others. So how can you compare them to Chrome? they're just beginning. When THEY race as much as CC did, Internationally too, and made as much........then you can compare. He's racing now.....not for money......it's cause he likes his job and so they're letting him do his thing this one more year so us fans can cherish him. Like Beholder. Beholder has been in SOME tough races but not like the races Chrome has raced in. SHE is a she. Races once a year against stallions. HE races against stallions all the time. Stallions ARE stronger. She won over a young herd of 3/4yr olds. That's why Beholder had no chance against Chrome. But after the BCC and Pegasus, win or lose it doesn't matter.....they'll retire him. He has many ladies waiting for him. The Pegasus is a tight race to fit in leaving Chrome only a couple weeks before meeting his first lady. I hope he gets to rest a little bit first. LOL After CC retires......Dortmund will take over AFTER Hoppertunity. He and hopper will be going at it BUT Hopper will go to Dubai again. I'm sure. He's pinned last year and this year behind Chrome. So he'll take second next year behind Mubs in the DWC.
