"Rap of all things" You mean the genre of music birthed in class and racial oppresion, whose culture is entwined with that of social and political activism. Who'd have guessed it. Or does C4 think rap is just some blokes swearing about guns.

Yeah but... she learnt it from EMINEM she says in the interview XD
Also, there IS such a thing as shitty rap. And while her story is worth talking about, her Music is really bad Rap. Sorry!
Music isn't automatically made good just because you had something important to say.

So do I, we need more women in countries especially like Afghanistan to stand up for woman's rights and to say that child exploitation and child trafficking isn't okay. If you ask me we should have never left Afghanistan until their was a fully functioning government, for instance Afghanistan is a 166th out of 167 countries on Transparency Internationals Corruption Perception Index

I am fascinated by Sonita Alizadeh. The only way you can change a culture is by education.
Her mother was going to sell her to fund her brothers wedding, some people just don't deserve children

Child marriage is not common in Afghanistan. It came with Islam 1400 years ago to Afghanistan and Iran.

Great job playing the damsel to climb the ladder of sucess. Its tradition to marry the brother in law or the sister in law of your sibling in arranged marriages. And afghans dont do that bcz we like it. Its bcz of poverty and its the only way to settle both the children bcz no one else is gona marry the guy or girl. And this way they reach 30+ age and than the chances of somebody seeking the hand of the girl becomes pretty much 0. We are not a developed country and our way of life is different than in the west. we deal with issues in a different way. And thats not bcz we have many choices. Its either stay single for the rest of your life or get married in this way. We take care of our parents when they get old and our children will take care of us when we get old. Our problems are different than the problems western people have. So stop judging us like western people.and also study our culture before considering her a victim.
