The little short lady (excuse me) Marine toting the bass drum as a load and seems to struggle with the stride length with the hard to balance load. Maybe she would be better with a clarinet!! Just kidding go girl (Marine)!
Composed during J P Sousa's tenure as Conductor of the President's Own Marine Band, The "official" march of the USMC: "Semper Fidelis" march. ("Halls of Montezuma" is The Marines' Hymn). 😉

When I was in the Corps (1964 to 1968) the Marching Band accepted certain musicians without requiring them to go through boot camp. I'm not sure if that ever changed.
That's the "President's Own." They are mustered in at the rank of staff sergeant and their chevrons have a harp instead of crossed rifles. The field bands go to boot camp like everyone else.
We are celebrating a pure American march by John Phillip Sousa, the US Marines, and being an American. And you had to go political on it. Shame on you. I'm a Republican who may have to change my party because of people like you. Biden is a mess but at least he's not turning Americans against each other.

And I don't agree with the Democrats, so I have no party to go to. I can go independent, which just means I will have no option to help choose from the entire selection of candidates as that as chosen by the party members. So I am still thinking it out. Tough choice. Any candidate except Trump and I am fine.
There is absolutely nothing slovenly about their marching at all. As a matter of fact, their marching is precise and exquisite, as it will be even at the end of the parade.

While Stars and Stripes Forever is his most famous march, I believe Semper Fidelis was his personal favorite.

He wrote the march especially for the Marine Corps.
Remember, the Marines had too take the Canal twice because the Army couldn't.....
