- Minami Shingu Shrine Festival
The Minami Shingu Shrine Festival is held on June 5, enshrining Susanoo-no-mikoto, the same god of the Yasaka Shrine, which is famous for the Gion Festival, a festival to pray for the repelling of plague and disease.
This is the only shrine hall in the area that is painted in tan (reddish brown) lacquer.
