With all due respect and humility (I really don't know much of anything.), but I don't think this highly developed egotistical state you're discribing is what is referred to as Buddha nature. It looks like, from the diagram, and sounds like a clever trap. I feel like my puny ego might actually be no further from the universal Self. But, as I say, what do I know? Thank you for thinking out loud. What I speak about is Atman in Vedanta, and I don’t say that it is the same as Buddha nature and on what ground do you call it egotistical? I am a bit puzzled about your conclusion.
So sorry; I'm not using the word "egotistical" in the usual sense, but in the sense of "pertaining to." According to the diagram, this "higher self" state is within the "egg," or bubble of the separate self, the ego. Again, I'm not clever enough to be able to differentiate between Buddha nature and Atman. I think there is something that we egos all participate in but generally ignore. I don't know what to call it, but it is not self-centered. It must be more universal in nature. I will continue to puzzle over it myself.
@@yoblues8898 the higher self is a selfless self, a contentless self, the personal self is a pale reflection of it, a jivaatman. Yes I am also puzzled by a lot of it
